He was breaking the law to begin with though. Going by the signs, he was in Victoria. Lane splitting isn’t allowed between the curb and a lane of traffic. If he’d been splitting legally, the driver probably wouldn’t have been pissed off so much. Idiots beget idiots.

Dude in the van was an asshole, but 'filtering' up and having to invade the crosswalk is BS too. Sometimes you don't always have to be in front.

Sees 20mph speed advisory warning on blind curve *does 45 anyway and almost hits car backing from a driveway* "You almost killed me ". Riders like that crack me up. Recently got in a wreck you say? What a shocker.

Yeah because they all surely put it down before setting off. At the end of the day a law is a law, car assholes are very quick to cry about bikers speeding etc but when they commit a road crime "it's ok because bikers sometimes go fast". It's not about being hall monitors, it's about knowing that assholes on their phones kill plenty of bikers. It's easy to be all bla bla when you're inside your protective metal box, try being exposed to everything while brainless fools on 4 wheels drive without looking or caring.

@@ChickenStank You seem young and inexperienced in engineering and traffic law. Tailgating is the number 1 cause of accidents on interstates and highways. Not allowing a safe stopping distance is how pile ups occur. Lane changing is required for many designs to function such as left lane on ramps / left lane exits etc. This is why the following distance has to be large enough for any pickup truck to safely change lanes. When you see a signal- slow down and create a proper following distance.

@@ChickenStank For example where I live a motorist was deemed majority at fault for an accident because he was following too closely the vehicle in front of him during a routine merge. When you follow too closely you initiated the first offence which lead to the accident...

She was reversing and blocking the entire road doing an illegal uturn over a double yellow. You must not ride on rural roads but people doing dumb stuff like this causes bad accidents way too often. They think they're alone because the road is empty next thing you know they get slammed into.

8.42 - the car driver was indicating! For a good length of time (I am a biker) and was always taught by master riders! Never undertake!! Even if it is two flow lanes.. people (older people) were taught this - never expect someone to be going faster in a left lane, you are never allowed to undertake - old highway code! New highway code.. One is allowed to undertake on a one way road, often mistaken by riders on two/three flow lanes... old school verses new school.. I never trust any car ever even if it is not indicating, my Dad taught me "Ride like No Car Driver EVER Sees You! He was SUCH a wise man... the reason I am alive and! Riding today. He saved my life so many times.... No Car Driver EVER Sees You! 😉

There are always a lot of clips that do show what looks like people escalating things for no reason. I have to say that with the wide angle lenses it makes things look a lot different then what actually happened. I honestly think there are guys/girls who watch the channel and are itching to have a clip. I always shake my head at the people who escalate something stupid and then punch a mirror when it’s obvious they just wanted an excuse to break a side mirror. Just like everything I think it goes both ways and then don’t forget that the wide angle lenses make things look a lot different.

More than half the time its the bikers at fault here

2:00 they didnt slow down until the driver entered the lane, to argue that they slowed down for the individual is dumb when the footage is clear about what happened. Always listen to your gut. Sure it couldve been one of those times a driver moronically drives down the freeway with their indicator on forever. However as we saw it was not, gotta be safe listen to your spidey senses.

I appreciated that woman who was sorry for what she did. She realized that what she did was super dangerous, and like most drivers probably just wasn't considering motorcylists. I think it's great she said she'll never do it again. When I have close calls I try and be respectful and use it as a learning experience in hopes that drivers will be more considerrate.

@@hnash2658 Wet clutches are made for riding the clutch. I think only harleys etc still use a dry clutch. 125cc to 600cc bikes at our test center are being clutch ridden all day every day by learners and the clutch is usually the last thing to go. First thing to go is usually a mirror or 2 and a peg, mechanically it's usually gearboxes dying before clutches. I guess it depends on the style of bike, commuter bikes and a lot of sports bikes can tolerate a shit ton of clutch abuse but cruisers etc really don't like it and that's why we only use commuter bikes for lessons and tests.

Filtering is also perfectly legal and it also reduces traffic congestion by creating extra spaces behind them. Why people get mad at something that has literally no effect on their lives is something I don't understand. Maybe councelling and regression therapy might help.

That fucking stretch of road in Oakland right past the Ikea is a goddamn deathtrap. I was in an accident there where my friend rear ended a guy who brake checked us bc he was using his phone. Whole front end of his truck crumpled but we walked away completely unharmed.

People are never going to stop using their cell phones in cars. Why even bother saying something about it. The biggest thing that bothers me when riding is someone tailgaiting me.

Wow the woman at 6:50 really wasn’t thinking and almost fucked his life up. I don’t know what the fuck she was thinking. I have to say I commend the rider for calming down and just talking to her politely after she almost killed him. I also appreciate her learning her lesson really quickly and I believe her when she says she won’t ever do it again. I did find it funny when she said “I was just...” and then stopped herself and probably thinking to herself there was absolutely no fucking reason to do what she did.

The woman was at fault, but so was the rider. Those speeds on a public road where you can't see far ahead are just plain dumb. The rule is: if there is something on the middle of the road and you can't stop when you first see it, you're going too fast. And he was going WAY to fast.

Can we just appreciate cj levelle for setting an example on how to deal with assholes
