    If the bottom card is a black card, look for the first red card and make that your prediction. Then tell the spectator to count the number of black cards in their pile to create a random number. Then you pick up your pile and use their random number to count the red cards. And the trick still works!👍👌

    I usually hate performing tricks where you are counting out cards in little piles on a table but this is such a simple plot and easy to remember method that actually seems impossible I'd definitely like to try it and add it to my repertoire. 👍 Thanks

    Here`s a little add-on for this amazing trick: Most of the time the card with the opposite color is not far away from the card on the bottom. If no further than the 4th position, a false (retention) overhand shuffle can be done with the other 26 cards - making it look even more impossible that the prediction card was in that exact position ( and not another card with the same color. )

    I have tried not to count 26 cards one at a time but just in cutting the deck in two equal piles. The trick seems much less mathematical and is much shorter. Hope it’s a great idea to share. Thanks for the original idea of this trick which is not so much known.

    Excellent Trick - you mentioned that it is better to have a red card at the bottom of the deck (and I agree) - what do you do if there is a black card at the bottom after the spectator shuffles to get a red card on the bottom.

  • @timbaldwinmagic

    @timbaldwinmagic

    I imagine you can do the same trick, just reverse the colors. So if a black card is on bottom, remember and write down the first red card that comes after. Then, have the spectator count their black cards, and count to the corresponding red card in your pile. Same process, just flip the colors.

    What happens if you don’t have enough black cards to match the reds in the other pile when I am counting through my pile

  • @francisvandenheede7710

    If the number of reds and blacks are equal, the opposite colour of the two piles always match. For example, 2 red cards in pile one means that all the black cards are also in these pile, EXCEPT the two missing which are found in pile two.
