So happy I didn't throw out the packets of glossy photo paper I thought I would never use.
Dear Luise, What a fabulous technique you have shared here. I often wonder, with these new ideas, how creators come up the ideas. Thank you so much for sharing your video and thank you (danke, danke, danke shön) for taking the time to translate your voice over into English. We really appreciate you taking the time to do this ❤️ . Love Barbara 🇦🇺
Dear Luise, I've been watching a lot of videos about this technique, and tried it out on a batch of Canon glossy photo paper--it worked beautifully! When I ran out of that paper, I ordered more from Amazon, but was very disappointed with the quality of the prints on the new paper. The inks reacted completely differently from those on the first paper. I realized there is a definite difference in the quality of the photo papers--the heavier the photo paper, the better the results. The distress oxide inks on the heavy paper rub out to a gorgeous brilliance, but the inks on the cheaper paper turned out duller and rubbed off quite a bit more, looking a bit blah. I wanted to alert folks to be aware of the type of glossy photo paper they use, as it really makes a difference in the end result. I am getting rid of my cheaper photo paper and trying again with the better quality stuff!

Wow!!!! loved every single part of this project, those colours after adding water !!!!!! You are one VERY talented artist. Thank you SO much for sharing all your techniques, please never appologise for your English, which I think is brilliant. It’s us non German speaking folks who should apologise, so can’t thank u enough for taking all the time and effort to create your demos in English. ❤️❤️❤️🏴❤️

Aww 🥰 thank you so much ❤️
I live in the Finger lakes in New York State and I love getting my inspiration from old books, quilting magazines and lighthouse books and calendars.
I do believe you are some kind of magician!
Wow Luise you never cease to inspire. I’m hoping my photo paper works with this process. Amazing the end result! Patti.
oh wow those dusty muted colors turned into a beautiful sunset background on the tag!! Amazing! I will have to test out the glossy photo paper I have laying around and my few distress oxides.
Luise, I love your creations and watching your process. ❤
Hi - a local scrapbook store near me had some card samples using a similar technique that was GORGEOUS! She stamped a design onto glossy photo paper with Ranger Perfect Medium ink - I suspect embossing ink would also work. After that dried, she smooshed the glossy side into one color of oxide ink, then dried it. Repeated another color, then dry until happy with the look. THEN the magic was that she rubbed the entire surface with a baby wipe and voila! The image she stamped initially with the perfect medium (marketed for use with Perfect Pearls) appeared and the oxide colors became super bright. Soooo pretty! If you try it, I hope to see the video. I haven’t tried it myself.
This looks like marble! It's beautiful and I LOVE the end result. I admire ANYONE who can master English as a second language. You're doing GREAT! I've heard that English is the hardest language to learn because of all the "rules" (not sure if it's true, what's your opinion?)! The words that sound the same but are spelled different and have different meanings HAS to drive you crazy (for instance: two, to, too)!!! You're awesome! TFS

Another great discovery by the intrepid 'Art Researcher' Ms. Luise Heinzl!! Looks great!
I did this some year ago with baby whips . You whipe away the oxide and the distress ink stays 😉. Love your tag!
I love this! It reminds me of a stained glass window.
I also think you could use the transparent texture paste on a glossy photograph and create something interesting.

Brilliant experiment… the tag is beautiful
So many great ideas and information on so many layers. 😘
I appreciate you taking the time to show us this great project!
I came across this oxide/photo paper technique a few years ago in a Gel Plate video. It's a cool technique!
wow! right before my eyes the colors changed. I wasn't expecting that. This will be fun to try. thank you
i use liquid watercolors on my photo paper it dries instantly,i love your videos
Magnificent! What a fun technique….
It works on matte/satin photo paper too. It needs to be a premium high weight photo paper. I've also used food coloring and Distress Ink.
Yes. I use my oxide on glossy paper. Rubbing off the oxide is so fun! You get something completely different! 💕
Amazing results, Luise! I love this tag so much❤️
Terri is correct, you are a mixed media genius and if nothing else, you are masterful at sharing your ideas and experiments with us, giving us so many creative ways to play. Today, after watching your video on staining paper with Easter egg dye, I made some from 5 colors. Now, I say, ‘now that was fun, what’s next.” I will be trying this tomorrow, and eventually make my way back to your video playlist and find another, I haven’t seen yet. There are so many available, this means more hours of learning, creating, and having fun, trying out your techniques. I thank you everyday for creating such a wonderful library for us. I hope the “Thank you” box I’ve sent you arrives sooner than later 🌿🌺🌸🍀🌷🌱(big bouquet for you and your caravan.”)
This was so good I have so much glossy paper to try this on thank you

I started to watch your channel when you did a challenge with The Paper Outpost. I am just in love with your work. I am watching all of your videos from oldest to newest. I am in awe of your talent. I must say I am also totally jealous that you have your workspace (and living space at least part time?) in such a lovely location. The lake and mountains are just gorgeous! Love this tag! Oh my gosh, I could not hope to create any work such as yours. And your English is very good. I have no German at all so appreciate your English. Thank you!

I can't wait to see this! I have an 8.5x11" photo paper with inks and I believe oxides that I mucked around with, and boy, I thought it was dry, then a few days later I noticed it looked a bit, wet, so to speak, so I went to lightly touch that area with my finger, and yup, it had un-dried itself 😬

The tag turned out beautiful. I can see a scene behind him. The bottom black area reminds me of mountains in the distance. The beautiful colors of the tag reminds me of a sunset. And up in the top corner the same side of the tag that the man is on is a round shape that looks like the sun. thank you for sharing this video. I am going to give this a try.
OMGOSH Luise! You’re a genius at everything you touch and create! Wow, wow, wow, this girl has gotta get working with mixed media. Other media’s are amazing too, but this just speaks to me, resonates within me so deeply. Thank you Sweet Soul for opening up such an incredible world to me! Big love 💝
