Stump Jump 50k - 2020
The premier 50K trail race in the Southeast, the Rock/Creek StumpJump 50K presented by The North Face, takes place on 90% single-track course atop Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge. With gorgeous, jaw-dropping views of the Tennessee River Gorge, and lush coves of cascading streams, hemlock, and rhododendron, these sandstone-strewn trails offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cumberland Plateau region. This race was its 19th running and has stood the test of time with locals and runners from across the world.
The 50k race is 95% single track and about 6,500 ft of gain and the same loss. It has a great mix of technical, flat, rolling hills and climbing.

2020 winner was Seth Ruhling with a jaw dropping winning time of 4:09:28. Which on this course is stupid fast! Back to Back Champion!

Thanks for making this. I am thinking about doing the 50K when we’re back in the USA this year. Seeing the course here makes me want to do it!

Great video. I was volunteering last year, might have helped you get to to Ginny about your number... this might be the year i do the 50k...

I really had a blast there last year, I’m so happy that it happened! And thank you for the help because their probably weren’t too many knuckleheads that forgot their bib so it probably was me 😂. Do it, I may not be back this year but I’ll definitely be back. I love running in the Chattanooga area😊😎.
