Thanks for the comments saying exactly what some of these things are used for. The square showcar pro metal pieces are aluminum not stainless like i said at first and didnt correct myself...also they are for putting under a show cars wheels, thx again for all the insightful comments!

Yes, I agree. The scopes and M4 butt stock could have been used by someone. I doubt they were used in a "Crime", but even so they could not trace something like that.

Lol, I was thinking “Tote Base” when I first saw those big “ Stainless” pieces. Get some rust oleum metal etching primer and semi-flat paint for it. In fact, you should have one for the exterior base and another piece inside the tote so you can sandwich the tote and have a truly rigid, super strong bottom. Those car show display pcs. where probably ridiculously priced when new. Great score!! Can’t wait to see how much you get!! Will

One of the things I really like about your videos, is watching you fit everything into your totes. 🙂 Perhaps a still shot edited into the video, to show your bike loaded as I believe that I missed a couple of good ones.🙂 Awesome plan for the back rack on the bike, I was thinking that you might be able to use that cable in some way to attach it; there are saddle clamps to put the two ends together, pretty much permanent until you cut the cable. If you choose that route ask the hardware worker, what "never saddle a dead horse" means. I would not be able explain it in a paragraph or two. ..haha 😉 Take care man.

The black plastic thing in the ammo can, that you said that you should not point at yourself, was a buttstock from an AR 15 and you could have definitely sold it on Amazon.

You can fill the amo box with sand and then pour some gas in there and you have a contained fire to cook on when your camping. No need to buy a stove. When you finished just shut the lid.

SV this is now hands down my favorite video of scrapen you now have done 2nd fav is the fish lures one, was really happy for yah.

Brandy Lawson With all due respect sir,I retired from our Army in 2011 after 21 years of service,12 as a Airborne infantry and 9 as a military police and my last duty was NCOIC of a company size armsroom...look at the item in question and see if it has a hole in it for the buffer and buffer spring like I said,the only thing there is 2 plastic rails to slide into an upper reciever,a real colapsible stock is attached by threads,look it up.

Great score, very satisfying to watch!

For a scrapper on foot there was that fully-operational trolley handy to have loaded most of that scrap metal for a trolley walk to the scrapyard. If well-packed that trolley would have accounted for all that scrap metal in about two loads. On foot, knowing your way around that locale it would have been worth the walking to and from the scrapyard with the aid of that trolley. But that is all things being equal.

Ammo boxes make the best tool boxes. I hope you keep it!

The show car pro boxes usually have lights or mirrors on them for putting under vehicles at car shows.

I thought that long black sign bag would have made a good fishing rod/tackle tote for your bike.

Why not put the aluminum directly in your tote ? And stainless would be much heavier

I saw his faces lol. Them round mirrors are cool take a razor blade to get the decal or screen print off. Killer vid the whole fam was cheering you on brother. My mother in law said them steel plates can be useful to people who make knifes.

that pizza roller looking thing is used to push the spline into the channels for re-screening a frame

great score would love to see how much all of that brings at the scrap! Might even be a better idea to hold on to one of these videos until you scrap and upload it in 2 parts.. and keep plugging part 2 when speculating about value while u search the dumpster. Something to consider for the next time u find a loaded dumpster.

i found a whole bunch of those banner stands recently. nice aluminum catch! BTW: you need something like an IKEA bag to carry big loads of scrap between the steering column and seat. i use one every day, works really well.

Man, you need like a one wheel tag-along trailer that can hold two extra bins for times like this!

Good score on the 6061 aluminum and that ammo box could be sold for 20 or 30 bucks.

I see those aluminium rollsigns cases in the trash quite often, sometimes I take them but that are a hassle to deal with, large size of aluminium pieces but quite lightweight after you remove the sign by itself. It is wastefull btw, people throw the whole thing instead of just replacing the sign. And you know that that is not a dumpter anymore that you found here, that's a aluminium ore mineshaft :-D

I don't know if anyone else commented on this, but you may have tossed an item worth about $450. The holographic sight that didn't work may not have been turned on, or may have just needed batteries to make work. The other item was part of a collapsible butt stock for an AR-15 rifle. It was probably worth about $30 . Anyway, you should have grabbed them.
