Hey can you please give me an advice on how to build a routine of studying instead of leaving everything to the night before an exam

What the best way for me is to start a month before the exams start pressuring you as if you were going to write it in a week. Because the wer aller you start for the exam to like make summaries etc. the more you can chill in the exam week but still have enough pressure for the exam and not be absolutely lost and think okay I’ve done absolutely nothing. And the best thing is to always have an overview of what you have to do and when the due date is and how much time you have left. And then prioritize. Also write down what you have to do for a day and then really do that for the day but like take two or three hours where you are really concentrated and to your tasks so that you’re done with it and then you can just chill the whole day rather than just sitting at your desk and procrastinating and “studying” for hours. But you should still keep your goals for the day realistically and not like me very overworking a tiring and unrealistic. (Still have to work on that) But you got to figure out yourself what time you study the best if it’s in the morning or in the night I for example I’m trying to set my routine to the morning rather than the night because I’m realizing that going to sleep at 3 AM isn’t the best for me and especially now that I also have online courses in the morning I just can’t afford to go to sleep that late and wake up that early again for the course. So my advice is to set a routine where you plan ahead what you’re going to do on the next day and have a period of time where you’re in the studying mode then do everything that’s on your to do list and chill for the day. That’s one of my many advices but I think this message will get way too long lmfao I have a lot of apps and ways to stop procrastinating and set a routine if you’re interested more I could make a video about it or show you my routine ❤️

I can relate with that as well.. Sometimes I just start studying, if I get distracted then I just continue where I left. Just do it without thinking. Let yourself be distracted but make sure to continue. I also count upto 5 if I lost on track and start again. Speaking for myself, the more I regret and think of me getting distracted I waste a lot of time that I can just use for doing my work and the cycle goes on. So just start without knowing what will you end up with. Focus on the process.

I see all these people talk about the flow state I want to put in my studies because It is very good (at least the videos say so) but it is very hard to put down for like 7 hours without getting up. I wanna use the Pomodoro method because I am very good at it (sort of) but when watching these study channel they say to use the flow state I am kinda lost please help

The key thing when you study is that you find your own way of studying. If you think pomodoro sessions are good for you and you're really productive then you should stick with those. some people, including myself, can study for 7 hours straight but some can't. it tbh really depends on my mood sometimes I study up to 7 hours straight and when I don't have to do sooo much and its more of a chill day I use the pomodoro sessions.

BUTTTTT a few months ago I found a KZread called Jody Hatton (I think) and its basically like his: first you do a body scan which allows you to put away all your worries its 15 minutes of meditating ( he posted a video check that one out its a guided meditation) and then you study for 90 minutes focused with binaural beats and then have a 15-20 minute break e.g. power nap or smith because breaks are important. don't force yourself to study for 7 hours if you can't just because some people in videos say its effective and helps them. try out many ways and choose the best for yourself. xx I often hear the binaural beats on one tab and watch a study with me on another tab :) IF you want me to make a pomodoro session I'll do one for my next video :)

Wow super interesting that you think that. how come?? I’m just a normal student in school I’m getting my Abitur which is the highest form of graduation from an academic Highschool here in Germany.
