Hi, yes you can apply, its okay for Finland. But Make sure that your country's Ministry of education gives you "no objection letter" .. Some countries don't provide the letter "for e.g., if i studied in management sector in higher secondary education and want to study in science background i.e., nursing"

Are gap years accepted? I did my high school in 2018 , prepared for medical entrance and qualified it but didn't get good college. again prepared but covid happened and didn't take admission and started working in farms. in 2021 my father got super ill and i had to take care of him. Till now i am working in family farms for 2 years and also in a local NGO involving helping children from poor background. I really wanna become a nurse but every english speaking country don't accept gap or are too expensive. Please tell me are gap years an issue? i m 21 yr old with stellar past academics with 93 percent in 10th grade and 82 percent in 12th grade

You are academically really strong.. Sorry to hear about how things didn't go well .. Finnish education system is not judgemental. They provide equal opportunity to all. Gaps are not a problem, you are just 21. I am sure you can clear the entrance exam well. you just have to prove that you have enough economic resources to study in finland.

You can apply and Finland accepts this. But, i am not sure if you will get letter of "no objection" from the ministry of education of your home country. It depends on the rules of your country

It depends on the country you are living in. For e.g., From Finland's side, there is no problem & it's accepted. But some countries e.g., Nepal don't accept this. The Ministry of Education will not issue you NOC required to study in Finland.

Hi sis, if you were working/ studying during your gap years, i think you have a valid reason for the gaps. ielts is not needed in most unis.

Yes, once you are in Finland, you can apply for Bachelor's in nursing. It may take 6 months to 1 year to change, because application opens mostly on Jan-Feb, sometimes on August. And, obviously, there will be an entrance exam.. I also came to study another sub, & changed to nursing after 1 year

Hi, you have to apply for bachelor's in Finland which is the only option. You have diploma in nursing in Pakistan, so i guess you can complete like in 2 to 2,5 years or less depending on how hard you can study. 1) questions depend a lot on the university, and they usually tell you the topics. (But there won't ask you about physics/ chemistry, there will be simple Maths, and English paragraph reading) 2) Yes you can with HSC.

Hi, At first you wife should come to Finland, work and then you and the baby could apply for permit later on. Finland is good country for kids and spouse.

apply for work ? i think the degree is valid in USA, but you may have to complete some training or courses to get licence to work... This is what usually happens when you have license of some other country.

Hi, For Finland, its okay. But, even if Finland offers you a study place, some countries don't provide No objection letter to study abroad like Nepal (in case like yours). You need to enquire with the education ministry of Bangladesh to see if they have any objection on this matter.

Hi Shristi, Yes you can. You just need to have completed +2. (In Finland, practical nursing is only in Finnish). So, bachelor's in nursing /bsc nursing is the only option (In English).

Hi Priya, i Think, It's okay from Finland's side. But, Do you need " No objection certificate/letter" from Indian education ministry to study abroad.?. If you need this, education ministry in some Asian countries provide NOC only in case of related subjects,( like biology major in high school for nursing... (you can ask your education ministry about this, if they allow you can... )

Finland is ok with this. But (if you are from Nepal), i heard education ministry didn't give NOC in 1 case similar to yours ( when you are from mgmt and want to study IT) . I am not sure about nursing. Try asking in fb group...

Hi, Alvina, Yes, You have to learn the language during your Nursing studies (as they speak Finnish in workplace). Few years back, you needed some Finnish already at the entrance exams, but nowadays, its not needed.

@@anyimgrace Hi, it depends on the university. Some may require language in entrance exam but most of them don't. There is a great need of nurses in Finland, so they have removed the Finnish language requirement.
