Hi Videendra. I live in NZ and have been following your content for quite some time. (Since 2020) . I always appreciate the fact that you openly talk about the student life in NZ, without painting a fake picture. So I thought of sharing this with you, and I’m sure you are already aware of most of what I'm about to share. I’m seeing a lot of matured people coming to NZ ( 35/40+) with their families which is not a bad thing. But with the current situation in NZ, I'm seeing a lot of families having real trouble, even finding a part time job and accomodation. This is something to do with the higher immigration numbers and the high demand for accommodation. This is putting a lot of pressure on people who are coming with their families. As you always do , please inform this to students before they come . Always encourage the student to come first and ‘Fully’ settle with a job and accomodation, before even thinking about bringing their partners and children. A lot of families are excited to move to a new country and start a new life as soon as they receive their visas. Advice them to be patient and plan their journey wisely. It’s always a struggle to settle in NZ when you first move here. So don’t make it even more difficult with poor impulse decisions. I have seen some families having to sell their houses in SL to manage expenses in NZ. I’m sure you are already advising students accordingly. But I’m seeing way too many students and families struggling these days because of poor decision making and not having common sense. Things might change in the next 9-12 months. But things are a bit uncertain in every country at the moment. So we need to be a bit more mindful. A lot of what I shared here is equally relevant to a single student as well. So come extra prepared if possible Hope this helps.
