Fantastic little gem of a painting, thank you. I'm gonna do a study after John Francis Murphy. Also gonna do a study after lunch. 😀 But seriously, I look forward to checking out your other tutorials. Please keep them coming, friend.

I really love this one Mike, think I like your rendition better than the original. Great job. I will have to try this one as well. 👍

Hi Kitty, I usually add some acrylic paint to transparent gesso and apply with a foam paint roller. Two coats. Cheers 🙂

A least a week Bibi, and I'm using an Alkyd quick dry medium. You want to make sure the first painting layer is very dry. Cheers :-)

Hi Timothy, This being three years ago I'll have to guess. Black for sure for the underpainting. White, Yellow Ochre, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, A bit6 of Acyrylide Yellow mixed with Black for the subtle greens and looks like I did a glaze with Gamblin transparent Yellow. Hope that helps 😀
