The new studio looks amazing, I bet the matching glass, unified LUTs and the screening cinema are contributing to the amazing look. I can't quite tell though, as I am watching this on a 10 year old LCD tablet while sitting on the can, but I'm sure it looks amazing and was really worth it!

How did Gerald miss the opportunity to do a studio tour interviewing himself?!?!? That would have been gold!!!!

As the guy who did your theme song, can I please be your house band? 😆 Awesome new studio! Congrats! Looking forward to this new chapter.

“When you plug it into your dumbbells, it uhh, motivates you!” lol Thanks for making me chuckle Mr Undone. You are hilarious by nature.
This is amazing. One more proof - if needed be - that talkshows now belong on KZread 😎
I think it's time to give Patrick some equity in the Undone brand. He's been putting in a lot of work recently! Maybe a purple T-shirt at least...

Nothing like having a $1k mic as a prop 😂 love it. Have always wanted that Sennheiser 441.
Congrats on 400k, keep up the amazing work, and you really need a 45Drives NAS upgrade...
Looking good! 👍
I love that you and Patrick have done so much fun stuff together for as long as you two have been. Great combo. ❤
I am always humbled to see studios grow from small rooms to big studios. hope one day it's my story too, But for now, let me keep learning and sharing the little knowledge I share on my channel. Thank you Mr. Gerald your videos are always packed with great knowledge.
You should do a mic test and show 3 different mics. But we only ever hear one actual mic. And watch all the votes go in “ahhhh B was better. No C was better.” Lol. ALL of those sounded fine on my blown out iPhone speaker. :p
These colabs are just getting better and better, congratulations on the new set up, keep up Gerald🎉👌🔥❤
I would love to se an entire video where you thoroughly explain how you calibrated everything to make the colors match!
I wanted to say thank you for taking the time / effort to have actual subtitles and not autogenerated. I really appreciate it when folks make the extra effort and it makes a difference. 🙂

Great job on the video Gerald AND Patrick! Thanks for making it.
Love the new set. I also love how much of a nerd you are - I definitely identify with that! One of the reasons I have always loved the channel 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Looks awesome Gerald! Hope to see a lot of new content from your new studio 👍
I'm really excited for what's to come, Gerald. You seem really excited and happy in the new set and I'm totally here for it.
21:27 I fully expect a cupcake review at the end of a review
Awesome space! Thank you for the tour.
The first video I've seen that ACTUALLY discusses full end-to-end workflow, WITH A TV! Attaboy Gerald!
Love it!! Can’t wait to see who will be your KZread Community guests!! 👏
CONGRATS ON 400K, Gerald! And also, the "nu stu" looks amazing! It seems we have similar taste. Working towards getting a house myself and have plans for something along the lines of. Love it man, looking forward to seeing whatever you come up with in the future. Cheers!
Love it! You are an inspiration. Thanks for the awesome content.
Nice job! Nothing like owning your own place. Looking forward to all the interviews! Cheers!
Looking good! You have taste man. This is a really functional space that also has beauty in it. I dig it. Congrats to you!
Always a pleasure, Gerald!
D D GUND . . . Now he's in a Basement! The new studio looks top tier man, you have really put every detail needed to make it all work. I am really excited to see how it all goes and all the new shenanigans you get into. Congrats on the new place too!

Now this is amazing info and learning! It's like a crash course in studio set up. Man you are so humble and a great selfless teacher. Greetings from India.
Congrats! The new studio looks great!
Always love seeing Gerald and Patrick together. And awesome new studio!
Super exciting to see all the ways you’ve been able to solve known/common problems with each new space. Nice work!
The new space looks absolutely fantastic! I hope it serves as the catalyst you're looking for to create the kind of material you want to create! Jimmy Buffett would be proud.
That was a great tour. Well done!
Yes!!! KZread needs an updated Merv Griffin Show.
Studio looks amazing and the tour was super informative! Great job!
Great to see the new set. Thanks for posting. Some feedback. Lighting seems a bit flat in some of the shots. Also, I think the desk skirt would be better if it wasn't gray. Dark hardwood color would be better IMO. Lastly, I would use an elgato multiport HDMI card in your PC and put a stream deck XL on the desk to switch camera views from your desk. That way you don't have to get up to change camera views and there is a ton of flexibility using a stream deck to control lighting and other "effects".
Content is all. Its nice to see something oriented towards interaction with other people. Not like we're lacking tube lighted tech/gear talking heads reciting spec sheets. Also, I humbly think that creative editing (the NAB trip for example :) ) is what will make content creators stand out among the vast majority that wants to be DPs.
Loved the set up! Hope one day I'll have one like this!
Hi Gerald, loving the new space, thanks for sharing. Curious which are you are using to boom the MKH50 from the ceiling?
Gerald, you truly Udone yourself with the new studio, congrats!
The keyword only editing style is perfect for me😂😂😂
Looking goooood!
I love that at 1:13 when you said there is a microphone here, you were literally pointing to the "search with voice" mic on the KZread search bar on my screen
As someone who's watching this on my phone while in the bathroom, as you said, I can say that it's looking pretty nice!
Wow, this is exciting.
Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Here to boost some engagement! Appreciate the BTS of the livestream setup, useful for adjusting my studio.
Love the studio! This was a fun video to watch
Very well done and impressive! 😀
Congrats 400k🎉
Nice new room! Now I need to up my basement studio game!
This is such a mature studio! Love it

You need to get Camera Conspiracies on as a guest. Loved the tines you have collabed together!!
Awesome set up Sir. Kudos
Exciting times, Gerald. That commute is looking nice 🙌
Great equipment overall the floor lights really popped 😊
Looks awesome Gerald! Studio goals haha
Such a freaking great looking studio. Love the in home gym and the stream/recording cart.
Nice studio. Congrats man.
amazing!!
The setup looks great. The actual video was pure gold!
very nice, I like the studio. The audio is sounding good.
looks good!

Damn, lot's of seasoned studio set designers in the comments here! Looks great, don't change a thing :)
Impressive setup. With how tight it is, similar to my own space, I could use some useful ideas here.
Awesome!
Cool setup!
Rad space Sir! Congrats!
Great studio Gerald and it is quite incredible what you have done here. The orange floor flight on the 50mm shot is a bit distracting, maybe diffuse that to the wall somehow? Anyway, great stuff man. When I grow up I might get me one of those myself. 😄
I love this! lit my studio based on all your tips, would love to see a podcast from you
Woah, this is the dream setup. 😮
Very nice. Man Cave Rules!
lol at Patrick's Waystar Royco sweatshirt 👌
I think it's the bomb.
Love the different examples of mics, the MKH50 instantly sounded like 'your sound'. Loving the idea of a lav but the great sound from the MKH50 is hard to say no to.
This video should go wild it is so cool.
Awesome studio!
I recently built a basement studio as well, and I ran into a few issues. Anything in particular you did to protect against "nature" stuff like flooding, pests, and the like?
@geraldundone
10 ай бұрын
Had it thoroughly inspected for leaks, investigated the area for flooding, etc. before moving in. Place has drains and sump pump in basement. Should be okay. *fingers crossed*, but kept as much off the floor as possible regardless. Pests: I got grass spiders running around down here like crazy. Inevitable.

@@geraldundoneSo you're saying you totally need a studio cat? :D Thanks for sharing. As a new home owner with a basement studio, I have upgraded my sump pump setup massively to have a battery for those times when you need it most but the power is out. We had a pretty sizable flood in our basement a few years ago, and it certainly did some damage. Glad you're keeping all that in mind.
awesome new studio mate!
we have a 441 in our mic treasure chest with mics that we use in case we get musicians to perform live (i work in radio broadcast) and this thing is SO GOOD on vocals. all you need is a pop shield and you're good. fantastic mic, sounds great in your shot too even at this distance. :)
The Senn MKH 50 sounds so, so much better than the Lav, imo. It's so clear, with non of the 'hollowness' that the Lav mic has. Brilliant!

@@FutureChaosTV Yes, and also No! It is fair that something that costs around $1.7K USD is very good... that said - there are literally 1000s of expensive products that don't live up to the hype, cost or even basics of their intended function (kinda appalling when you stop & think about it)
@geraldundone

The MKH 50 is one of the few products that I can say with no hesitation is absolutely worth its price point. It's very expensive, but it's the best mic I've ever used for indoor dialogue.

Agree, the MKH 50 sounds worlds better than the lav. The lav sounds pretty crunchy. @@geraldundone
I'm excited for this development! Who's going to be the first quest? Marques Brownlee?

I love it. It's almost as cool and well equipped as Martin Vanger's basement. You are going to kill.
