It's really awesome to see young people recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the contribution of Officer Watkins. I spent my first 14 years in a very frightening home. I was small, skinny and scared of everyone and everything and often bullied. At 14, two police officers showed up. They were the FIRST adults in my life that stood up for us. I had no idea what it felt like to have someone stick up for me, let alone Police Officers. It was as if God Himself was in the room!! They have easily earned my respect! love it when cops are in citizens lives as much more than to just uphold or enforce the law. I appreciate those who are in uniform and thank them for their service in keeping the peace. But this is truly what they should stand for...

I first heard about you guys for the first time in my freshman year high school assembly 6 years ago and to be honest, the slogan of “Dude, be nice” was a bit of a meme. Nonetheless, it made you guys memorable and 6 years later, I really admire the kindness you guys promote and I’m glad there’s people like you guys out there making people happy in all occupations. I was wondering, since the pandemic, healthcare and frontline grocery workers have been under fire and overworked, do you guys plan on doing assemblies and such for people in healthcare and grocery employees? I feel like those guys are the reason we’re still going after the pandemic and I feel like they deserve a bit of love too! He was my favorite when i went to Byron before graduation!!! He is the best ever the fact that he got this does not surprise me at all he is such a pure soul and is the best ever i could always go to him for anything we used to call him sulli from monster inc the memories i have and videos are the best!!!

This gives me hope for the future that there are respectful people out there loving each other no matter what that will be graduating and going out into the world. I graduated in 2007 and alot of people have failed at life and its not good to see. Luckily i was successful.

Beautiful to see how a functioning community can be. The recognition on all sides is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this lovely human interaction ❤ very inspiring

the 2 students must have AWESOME parents & the cop is just a sweetheart. ive met more like him. one recently changed my flat tire when i was stuck on a highway at night. i knew how to change a tire (our dad taught all his kids including his daughter (favorite one! hi dad! lol) but i couldnt get a lug nut loose. i was out of state, it was late, the road was empty & AAA was taking so long...i was getting scared. seeing a cop car pulling over was such a relief & changing the tire?!..he didnt have to do that.
