Yesterday was a truly special day in our history. The #BSLBill passed its third reading in the House of Lords, meaning it will be legally recognised as a language.
This year, students at the Deaf Academy have been campaigning for their rights as Deaf people. The legal status will require the government and private organisations to uphold standards of accessibility. There are so many reasons why the BSL bill is important, and our students say it best 💙!
