Paige it has been an honour to watch you process this information, realize that fails are an opportunity for learning, growing and better than not trying…. You have what it takes to succeed… you know your areas of weakness and you have immaculate study techniques. All good things will come…. Enjoy your summer ❤

Thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing this with us Paige. Passing actuarial exams is hard so it is okay if you fail you will eventually get there. And if you look on the bright side you will be resitting very soon and you probably qualify in less than 6 months.
Paige, I congratulate you for passing one of the exams. Do not worry that you failed one exam! It is not the end of the world. You are going to resit it again in September and I am sure that you will pass the second time because you are more aware what they want in this exam.
you know, Paige, you remind me a lot of myself when it comes to exams and life in general. You hardly give yourself any credit when you have done well but are very hard on yourself when things don't go to plan.... Take it from a fellow perfectionist that you have done exceptionally well in your journey. I can see that you've blossomed in so many aspects and I feel very proud of you! We all know that you will be passing the next sitting and I'm looking forward to the remaining part of this chapter!!

You know, it's okay, Paige! Even better results are ahead!!! I believed in you, I believe in you and I will continue to believe in you! Congratulations, Paige! 💗🌸💗 You did well! 🙌🏼💗 Everything will be fine! You're a very hard worker and you deserve all the best! 🙏🏼💗 Take good care of yourself! Much love! 💗
I know you would have preferred to pass, but thank you SO much for modeling how failure can be not devastating. I have always refrained from trying music exams, but this video really helps.

I’m glad it helped. It’s a shame to fall short of my goal but I’m not embarrassed for trying! We go again.
Congratulations on passing SA3, Paige! That’s brilliant news! Only one to go now. The pass rate was incredibly low - these exams must be so tough! You will pass the last one very soon!
Paige it's brilliant. One more left! You will get there this year!
Only one left to study for! You'll get it next time! I'm tantalizingly close to the end of my BA (only 3 exams left!), so I know the feeling of being so close and yet so far. (And secretly I'm glad we'll be getting a few more study videos, because yours have always been my favourites!)

@@PaigeY Thanks!
So so proud of you Paige!
It’s even more than fine🤗you did great! Congratulations on passing SA3! Just one more and you’re done!💪
Congrats for the pass! These exams are so tough so don't beat yourself up! Seeing your content on here and insta really helps me a lot with the studying and preparation for these exams as they serve as a great motivator! thanks a million ☺
You’re gonna get it!!! And if not, by any chance…totally far far away,😂)please, don’t be discouraged! You can do it🤗
I love that you keep it real, Paige! Congrats on your SA3 result, and remember, none of this is wasted time - every attempt/exam/study session is helping you get that little bit further. I think about it like driving lessons/tests. Failing the driving test doesn't mean that you're back to square one! Keep going
That's a solid pass though at 68% ... and 58% was close so just needs a little more work and you're there ;) Chin up an onto the next phase.
You continue to be on a successful path. You have every right to be pleased with the cpmpleted course. All the best to you. You are successful
Congrats! All the effort you've put in is and will pay off! ❤
Paige, congratulations for passing even the one exam! From what I can tell these exams are pretty hard and the pass rate for some of them is very, very low. Considering how many exams you've passed in the first sitting, I still think you did amazing 😊
Hats off Paige. Don't forget to do life sessions when you study for the next exam.only 4 marks to pass the other exam. I know that you will pass the exam next time with flying colours.
Just one exam left to pass! All other exams in life you have conquered! You’ll get there!
You worked so hard for this, so don’t let that letter devalue that. You came out and reflected on it, so I’m sure you will breeze through the next one.
Chin up love you have got this as someone who is trying to qualify as a cost accountant and not clearing in the first go ik how it feels but have a calm head you have got this ❤🧿
It might be a refreshing change to try vlogging about how to take breaks. It's actually something people can learn from. For recovering from burnout in particular. It's pretty common. I hear strangers talk about it and I've tried to study it too. Some ideas resonate like there are 7 types of rest: mental rest, sensory rest, emotional rest, social rest, physical rest, creative rest, and plain old slowing down. You need all 7. I've recently picked up planting and making terrariums as a hobby (I built 5 on my first day). And bird watching - I just had to place some feeders in the garden. It works great, but I had to scatter seeds where birds would obviously find them first, to get the comfortable and curious. Just a thought, hope you're finding a good balance.
Hi Paige. First of all, well done! One down, one to go! I'm in an adjacent boat to yours. I've got one final resit to take for my degree at the end of this summer after having passed one and failed one of my winter exams (and finish the research project until the end of the year). I can't wait to be done with studying. Let's go we've got this! One final exam 💪💪💪

Completely off topic, but you look sooo good in this video! Really glowing and summery and fresh 😊 I hope that doesn't sound weird, it's just the first thing that popped into my mind.
It's really rare that a student passed the SA exam but fail the SP one, but passing SA means that you are with a very good chance of passing the SP one next time. Best of luck! I'm in the journey for the fellowship for more than 10 years and still not quite there yet. Just wanna let you know that you're doing incredibly well for achieving so much in such a short period of time. You're my inspiration. Hang in there, I'm sure your qualified video will come soon!

Yeah pre-exams I thought SA3 would be a more likely fail! Not destined to be a pricing actuary it seems
Congrats for passing SA3 Paige! I'll be studying towards professional accountancy exams in September so looking forward to the study content! 💛

Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞
Can’t believe it’s nearly the end of an era with the exams. Fingers crossed ❤❤❤ Used the IFOA site to book mark the date in my calendar
Almost there: ) I had the exact same feeling when I checked my results. Good luck next time!
Totally understand your disappointment not to pass both . But to turn this round you have only one exam left to pass to be finished , and we ALL know you will do it . Come on Paige 😊 your goal in in sight 😊
Let’s not forget that you passed one! 🥳😎 you’ve got this! Also these exams must be so tough with the low pass rate haha
Somehow, as someone who is planning to start this whole journey of actually exams after I graduate, seeing people fail and keep going really is weirdly reassuring. Getting that "Failing is the end of the world" attitude out of my mind is so hard but so necessary.
Hey Paige, congrats on passing SA3, and best wishes for SP8 in September. Could you please make a video on how and where to study from for new actuarial students? That would be simply amazing, thanks a lot and have a nice day
Congrats on passing one exam! Fingers crossed for the resit in September, keep going, love your videos 😊 x
Mom bake her more vanila buns! We can do this. Next summer you can celebrate with a good holiday🎉
Congrats on passing SA3 and I’m looking forward to you popping a bottle of champers in December. What a great Christmas present that will be. Maybe a celebratory laundry segment as well?????

Well done! Don't forget you had all that extra stress with the computer beforehand which would have thrown some people (me 🤣) completely off track and 58 sounds like you were very close to the second pass anyway so, I'm sure you'll nail that last exam next time. 😊

Haha I don’t feel I can blame the computer but I will definitely be making sure I have practiced on a backup machine next time 😂
I love the comment on the pass mark: 'This was deemed to be the mark achieved by the minimally competent candidate'. Gosh, they really know how to motivate their students 😂
Only a matter of time, you got this!!!!
Unrelated but I loveee your hair in this video and you are glowinggg
I have to re-take my CFA Level 1 exam next February. I feel your let down after watching your journey for your charter learnings/trainings, but it’s a journey and some things happen for a reason. You Got This Paige!! 🎉
Hope you got it! I passed my last exam SA7 and now exam qualified!

Congratulations Paige on passing SP3! 🎉 Seriously! It's only one left! In a few months you will be missing studying for exams 😆 Btw. You look so beautiful with a touch of a tan 😍 Have a restful and full of joy weekend Smart Girl!❤ Hugs from Poland 🤗
Well done! one more down, one to go. You got this
I was so nervous for you, and let out an audible ‘no’ when you failed SP8. Well done on the pass though and good luck for the last one! (Can’t say that I’m dissapointed that we’ll still be getting some more study content though)

Hey Paige, I feel the pain had attempted papers this April didn't get through and mostly due to the script review part otherwise would have gone through so yes. I feel the pain

Congratulations on passing the one exam! One step closer to no exams. Woohoo! The cliche that a failure is a stepping stone to the next success comes to mind even though it's annoying.
Another one down, well done!

Hey, i used to watch Astrid Franciska's vlogs, I hope she is okay. i don't see her on any platform nowadays, even her older videos are not available on youtube💔!

if you passed, you would always know you didn't do a great job and just got lucky. These types of tests require expert knowledge and application. it is impossible to pass otherwise.
that's right we only learn from fails....
Don't hang your head! You'll manage one more thing!
Paige, you'll be fine. Please don't let this tear you down.🥹❤️❤️❤️ Also, you're absolutely stunning with the new look and make-up.😮💕

Sorry to hear that, I know it must be frustrating to be so close, especially on such a subjective paper. You’ll get it next time I’m sure!
Exam day? I thought you finished scool a long time ago!
How long have you been studying actuarial science? Like how long does it actually take for someone to become an actuary?
I'm calling out the friends who didn't organize the dinner
It has never made sense to me that the pass mark changes each sitting. It would be better if there was just a standard figure.
@Eldriitch
Ай бұрын
It changes to try and balance out the difference in difficulty between each year's exams. It's not a perfect system, but the point is that a pass should represent approximately the same relative performance each year, even if the actual number varies.
Sorry Paige what are you studying? And at which Uni? Good luck in your exam.
@nicolad8822
Ай бұрын
She’s not at Uni, she’s doing professional Actuarial exams whilst working.
Am I the only one who thinks if you didn't waste your time on social media and worrying what people think about you, you could have been more successful in your exams? You don'tt have to broadcast your life on the internet.
Can you choose a different subject if you wanted to?
@MissJools11
Ай бұрын
No, Paige has re-sit the exam that she failed. It's the same subject.
I see actuary salaries are not really higher than other 'professional' jobs. I wonder if all that effort is worth it, when you can be earning more than actuaries with much less effort.
@Eldriitch
Ай бұрын
There are drawbacks to those other career paths too. If high-paying professional careers were easy to build, everyone would. Some routes are definitely easier than others, but all have their own individual benefits and drawbacks and unique opportunities and idiosyncrasies. And of course, it's not just about the money. It's fine if that's all you're interested in, but for people earning as much as actuaries and other high-paying professionals do, immediate needs are clearly met -- so you can afford to ignore small differences in pay for your other preferences.
@hansanaik3835
Ай бұрын
It is always good to have a professional designation because there are more job opportunities and job security. As Actuarial designations are harder than CFA or CA, there is less competition for these jobs. Also, people may start with more or less the same salary in different professions but they do not have a lot of growth opportunities in the future.
@nicolad8822
Ай бұрын
So Banking and corporate law is less effort? I don’t think so. Plus Actuaries are a nicer bunch of people. 😉
@21cgIN
Ай бұрын
@@nicolad8822Maybe not Investment Banking, Consulting or Corporate Law at top law firms, but Software Engineering, Asset Management, or Data Science for example pay easily 6 figures and are much lower effort, at least in my experience and of friends I have in those sectors. With her background she could have easily been a Software Engineer at a top tech firm or in the Finance Sector and make loads. I work in a bank and have engineer friends her age who make £80k+ with just a Bachelors and no other exams.
