This toxic mindset that is growing constantly with people always saying "its not unique" "all the same" type shit is getting out of hand. Its all about being genuine. This "uniqueness" crap only came around because of Tiktok, and its all clout chasing. "look at me im so different to everyone else"

I've fallen out of love with meets and organised car events, rather just cruise around on my own and enjoy the scenery and my own company.

Used to be enjoyable in the earlier 2000s I had a 106 gti, Saxo VTS, and Vtr my mates had metros with VVC conversions and 206 GTIs etc etc.. just better times everyone owned their cars for a start, no shite popping maps! Turbo cars were lusted after and a goal to work towards because they weren't the norm

Completely agree, tried going to a car meet in my area the other weekend, felt so awkward, unless you know certain people your kinda left on the outside, it’s now groups of people standing away from each other & if you don’t know anyone there you’ve got no chance.

The absolute state of the uk car scene mostly junkers and traffic 😭

Well if you start showing it off on meets like it's something unique you're going to get disappointed, if you go a race them around on back roads you're gonna be a very happy person. I love my little fiesta st but i'm not kidding my self about it being very unqiue or whatever, it's just really fun to drive and that's it

not really, coyotes without an actually good exhaust system are just horrid noise, take the gunshot tunes off the focus's and I'd listen to them all day over a poorly done mustang that was just built to be loud

As someone who lives in the states, I'd kill to have a mk2 focus st 😅 Oh well, guess I'll go cry in my mazdaspeed 3 😆

I feel the audiences pain! So many STs thinking they are unique but in doing so making themselves the least unique. Need some more variety, get some modified Dacia's or a mad little Kia or something, ANYTHING different and out of the ordinary! Good battle otherwise!

If I had an ST I'd make it unique by NOT having a loud exhaust or a pop n bang map. Same way I did my civic Si... Supercharged, but stock intake, stock exhaust, stock appearance.

I hate the majority of ST owners ruining the image of STs, I have a fiesta st mk7 and it's all stock except its stage 3'd with 330bhp and I haven't got any form of map to make it louder and "pop and bang" and it sounds mega, don't know why you want to ruin it tbh

Really wish people wouldn’t run pop and bang tunes on the ST’s, we call them XR5’s here in Australia and a lot of owners do it as well. Personally I prefer the sound of mine without any tuned in pops and bangs, just a nice exhaust system with natural pops and crackles here and there

@@liamsutcliffe473 Yeah, I have an exhaust on mine at the moment, and it’s not ridiculously loud but not quiet either, just the perfect balance of both for me so I can be quiet around my neighbours but make noise on the highway or on mountain drives 🌲

That mustang🤣 put all the shit boxes to rest

The sad thing is. 5 cylinders sound great on overrun. But all these ST's ruin it with the silly pops.

yeah bro - That American V8 Note is nasty sick. Even if there were some high HP ST/RS cars there, I'd rather drive the stang everyday. Just calm driving around you'd have so much more torque and better sounding car.

No, there RPM’s are limited when not in motion. It’s a common modern car thing

The focuses in this vid are like the golfs and civics of these kinds of battles

I wish they hadn't invented Rev limiters. It would be more fun judging the loudest engine blowing up noise.

For me, the pop and bang tunes are as embarrassing as having fake engine noise pumped through the audio system.

This might be the first time I cheered for a Honda to win (DSM fan and no longer owner) All builds are cool as long as you don't hurt anyone or endanger the public!

I bought my Megane 4 RS because I love it. But one of the things I enjoy about it the most is that there's only 315 of the RS280 Sport in the country and I've only seen 2 on the road. I couldn't imagine owning a Fiesta/Focus ST/RS, they're basically traffic at this point.

You really should have measured a set distance from each cars exhaust for consistency - decibels trail off hugely with distance so you may have affected some of the results by measuring from slightly different distances.
