공연본 기억이 나네요 사운드 웅장해서 놀래고 관객들 앞으로 돌진해서 중단된 기억나네요 워크맨으로 녹음했었는데 테잎은 없어지고 아련하네요 멋진 공연이었음

As I know, Stryper was the first major heavy metal band playing in Korea.

That is the coolest drum kit I've ever seen.

솔과 88이 공존하던 격동의 시대. 아침에는 최루가스 저녁에는 수학정석. 파고다가 세상의 전부였던 싸우스코리아 락커들의 자력갱생 의지를 무참히 짖밟아 버렸던 꿀벌무늬 형님들. 보충수업 땡까고 가길 잘했다는 생각은 30년이 가까워와도 변하질 않네.

this is the most glam metal concert ever! Look at their outfits, gear.. everything is shining n looks so rich! Even their hair is shining Awesome drums!!! The best glam metal band of the 80's! thumbs up!

그때고1 아직도 그때 티켓보관중 솔직히 젊음의행진땜에 금요일 7시 황금시간에 녹화중계도 해줬지 지금은... 하긴 지금은 넘쳐나져서 공연 줄서서기다리는데 장내 청소하는 아저씨가 리허설 죽여준다고 떠들고 다니시고 무명밴드 형님은 메탈리카 왔었으면 다죽었다고 허풍떨고 있고 그때 분위기 아직도 생생합니다 글고 스탠딩석에 있었는데 공연중 담배 다피우고 정말 지금과는 .. 진짜 당시 울 나라 밴드 거기서 다 봤네요

오... 동갑이시네요. 나도 이때 공연장에 있었는데.. 그 때 그 분위기가 지금도 잊혀지지 않습니다. 아.. 그 펄드럼의 소리는 정말.. ^^

맞습니다 펄드럼 펑펑튀기는 소리 아직도 기억납니다. 드럼도드럼 이지만 사운드 메이킹 전부 죽여 줬고 ...

89년 3월 잠실 체조경기장 첨봤던 미제 헤비메럴 밴드 난생첨들었던 쌩라이브 서양록의 꽉찬 찰진싸운드의 압박 아직도 그때의 문화적 충격이 뇌리에 생생히 남아있네

They schooled Korean rock scene at the time. That was such a shock itself.

Wow, can you say big time performance!! Stryper had some of the best concerts ever. Great band and loads of talent, keep rocking forever Stryper!

I have this on DVD. This is my favorite drum kit of all time along with Eric Carr's KISS Crazy Nights "CHIKARA" drum set. Robert is AWESOME.

this is 1989 IGWT tour with full drum kit. "Stryper: The Beginning" is 86-87 THWD tour.(not the same drum kit look a like with a few toms but not the same)

Just so you know, Tom Schotz(sp) co-wrote Stryper's version, so he had a hand in "killing" you favorite Boston song. I am a little bias though, since I really like Stryper.

I don't what this one guy was thinking, say that "they (Stryper) need to get somebody that can do death vocals and go melodic death metal," but if they got rid of Michael Sweet, then its not Stryper. Their music has nothing to do with getting fans, I mean yeah, the music has to sound good, but I think the Hard Rock/Metal scene is going more old schoolish, with guitar solos. I think their record label isn't doing a good job of putting Stryper's new music out there.

@@kilothekiller the back tracks were to beef up the chorus' which a lot of bands were using and really use a lot now a days. Michael said in his book the tour was ok, he just got sick a lot on that tour, he said he loved touring w/ White Lion as openers and that he loved watching Vito play, and that he hated Roberts drum kit and how over the top and very pricey it was. He said he could feel that the scene was changing and Robert kept spending crazy amounts of money on stuff like that kit etc and Michael wanted to start cutting down the excess spending. So near the end he wasn't to happy
