While I and others may not share their beliefs, I think we can all agree they had some pretty good tunes. On a side note, I have been to somewhere near 100 concerts since the mid 80's and Stryper is still the loudest one I've ever been to. My ears rang for 3 days afterwards. Long live rock n roll!!

Good gracious ,what a band, glam rock....or metal, whatever you call it...good music deserved to be recognized.....remind me of poison, bon Jodi, motley crue, Cinderella and the list go on.....this is the only Christian band I listen to and some Petra music....Stryper, I grew up listening to this amazing band and Micheal w. Smith....vocalist Micheal sweet got powerful voice , his music always rock my world.....

Time absolved them. Michael Sweet is still a believer. He plays in churches and small places hoping to give a message of love and forgiveness to an undeserving guy like me. I love this band.

When I was in high school I rocked my Stryper shirts with pride. I was made fun of by my friends for loving this band. But as I never denied our Lord and Savior I never denied loving this band to my friends or anyone.

...it was and still is my son' s favorite band. I listened to their songs so many times because of my kid.

I am a atheist but one of my road trip cd's is a live album with all their hits and i friggin blast it on repeat, YELLOW & BLACK ATTACK!!!!!!

In 2008, Michael Sweet, came to our church and did a solo at the Christmas service. He sung "O Holy Night". The sanctuary holds 500. I sat up front in front of him. Oh my goodness, the power of his voice was unbelievable, almost blew me backwards. So powerful, controlled and right on the money! Nice guy.

theres some people out there and im not one of them,but there is this preacher on the local Christian t v station here in Milwaukee that would hate this w/ a passion .he thinks Christian rock like this isn't the way to go,it needs to be slower and softer.alltogether,this guy thinks there is no such thing as ''Christian rock''.also too, I don't have a problem with this,but stryper around 89-90 did the cover tune of ''shining star'' from earth wind and fire.stryper did some other secular songs,but that didn't mean Michael sweet was turning away from Christ.you can still be Christian and listen to secular music,but I think watching what you listen to is a smart idea,such as maybe not listening to marylin manson or say king diamond or merciful fate.both band are have the same guy as lead singer,the lead singer is also a Satanist.

I’m so grateful to my uncle for introducing me to this band and mom for taking me to see them when I was 10! I will always be a fan!!!

I had not heard of Stryker until I met my first husband back in 1988, he liked them so much that he would dress like Michael, even his hair was like his. I still enjoy listening to them.

Stryper always reminds me of my childhood. Playing with Transformers and riding my bike to the local video stores, arcades and pizza parlors. Forever grateful for those memories.

In times when many metal bands were promoting Satanism & claimed to be rock & roll rebels which is a joke because they were all doing the same thing promoting the evil one which they perceived to be normal so how is that being rebels? Then along came Stryper who stood for God, who were for light against darkness. There was nothing rebellious about the other bands. Stryper were & still are the true rock & roll rebels. God bless them.

This is a great love song. I just recorded it on Tuesday. I sing and play bass guitar at the same time. I rock, dance and have a great time when I do music videos. This song is my featured video right now. After 4 songs by other artists, I'm going to do 6 more Stryper songs. I'm not much of a lead singer, but I'm a great lover of people. My videos in public this summer prove it. We should be imitators of God and walk in love (Ephesians 5:1,2). Jesus Christ loves us and gave Himself for us. We should do the same and sacrifice ourselves for others. May God bless you.
