Strung Out - Rig Run Through
Музыка
I caught up with Strung Out members Jake Kiley & Chris Aiken while in Australia touring their latest release Transmission Alpha Delta to see what gear they rely on during their high energy live shows.

Knows his stuff too. Low gain. So many people pump the gain to bloody 8 and wonder why their tone sucks. A good distortion is actually SMOOTH and CLEAN but with lots of power and punch.

nice vid. drinking game....every time Jake says "Phenominal..."
it's great to see fender/jackson treating these lads good. they definitely deserve it.
Fastest fingers in the West and the nicest guy ever ❤
I gotta day, Jake is a totally cool dude. Saw strung out in the boonies in PA back in ‘09. Jake hung out in the crowd before the show while the rest of the band hid backstage. He was such a normal dude, it was friggen cool. He was totally interested in our conversation, asking me questions. Definitely a great dude.
Have literally waited forever to see Jakes rig rundown!! Great job buddy
OH DAMN - Check out the Synster Gates Pickup, it comes with a jar of eye liner HAHAHAHAHAH nice one jake
Jake and Chris seem really cool. Nice interview.
Chris' Squier bass was on their best releases!! I wished I could get one back then.
Great to see someone in Oz doing these types of vids! Good work dudes!!!
Thanks for the upload great video lots of cool info on their gear set up. I met Chris a bunch of times super nice guy. Jake seem like a chill dude super stoked on life
I've seen these guys over 10 times. They arw super cool guys. Hung out in the parking lot and smoked joints with chris and jake once.
Jake is hands down my favorite player, bought myself a Jackson soloist because of him and I’m currently saving for the evh 5150. Love that strung out tone, powerful and raw yet very precise and technical.

+LiveMusicFootage Ah I see. Those fans who got to meet them are quite lucky
How the hell do you get that early mega scooped Strung Out tone and still keep it clean enough not to make your eardrums bleed?? Is that what a noise gate helps with??? I have a 6505+???

I've always liked Strung Outs bright guitars! There was an old christian band called Off The Record that sounded like Strung Out (1st record only) and they used Carvin heads . Here's one of their songs, I uploaded it years ago so the quality isn't what it should be. If you like it let me know and i'll send you a copy kzread.info/dash/bejne/fqtqs7yTnKrgo9Y.html

It’s more of a studio trick. You can dial in a really crazy tone on the board and with mixing. It’s kinda like the old Fear Factory stuff. There’s almost no way to recreate it live, so you just get really close
