I respect what he said about keeping the integrity of the records by only allowing competition settings... But it is more important that it is tried than it being "official". Nobody really cares if we can trust the people looking into it and doing it and we can do that. Hafthor has to try to beat the record which he trained towards for months all the rest is secondary.

Sam, what thick heads? Eddie didn't come up with thought out arguments and points like Brian did. All Eddie did was moan and complain and draw unwanted negative attention when he could have pointed out the real problems like Brian did, Eddie instead looked like a hypocrite turning a blind eye to his other mates in the world of strongman since they weren't after his precious record. Before you get your jimmies all rustled, no, I don't think any home gym record should be classified as an official world record only as unofficial if anything, including Hafthors. There were no thick headed people, there was no real points made by anyone before Brian uploaded the video.

Glad you had a fun trip. Just to let you know, I pulled a 502kg deadlift in my garage yesterday so don't worry about Thor's 501, I beat you both and since it was in my home gym it's completely legit.
