The Ministry of Defence ( 🇬🇧) stated that without the American support, the UK military would not be able to efficiently hold onto the afghani ground due to the lack of foreign forces remaining. For example, during the main part of the war, the Estonians withdrew most of their forces from British strongholds when they were meant to be there to allow the Brits to push forth and rotate the occupation, however the Estonians decided to suddenly withdraw their troops and left the british checkpoints to be under threat, therefore leading to them being compromised and also meaning they had to fight yet another miniature war to regain land. The UK military may be strong, but noone can survive by themselves. Not even the taliban could; they were heavily supported and invested by Saudi billionaires, with some theories leading to Saudi Royalty and Saudi Government supplying aid to the Taliban / ISIS / IS.

@7j8x i didnt meant that something which is old is bad for example in the us theres still in produce browning m2 machine gun which production started in 1932 and its still very good weapon i just want to say that many russians tanks which are in use such as t62, t64,t72 are not competetive against leopards 2A6, 2PL, or abrams tank, also a lot of apc,s such as bmp - 1, bmp - 2 and the tanks which i mentioned higher are just being shredded by atgm,s and artillery such as HIMARS or Even polish „AHS Krab” this is what i wanted to meant Ps. Seeing as how we have the weakest army we have ever had and we are ranked 8th. that shows that if we wanted to have a large army we would be the strongest in the world
