The following is on KZread. The first one is not for the faint hearted. Horse Slaughter Documentary, Equine Destiny: Full Documentary. It brought me to tears. I am a tough person. The second KZread documentary is: Horses: What Really Goes on Behind the Scenes, The Humane Society of the United States. This is what Horse Plus Humane Society is trying to stop. The export of horses to Mexico or Canada to be cruelly slaughtered. Please, please donate to the cause, to stop this cruelty. Even one dollar will help. Put your donation in the mail today. Do not wait. The life you save could be someone's pet you know or faithful companion. The horses do not understand this cruel treatment. Please help. From the heart...🙏😭🐎

I don't quite know where to start. What an amazing event to be hosting and all the work put into it is staggering. Some familiar faces I saw amongst the attendees as well, and they had so much to learn along with friendship made. The filming of it all as someone not attending was kept me riveted to my seat. The stories told and thought processes from the attendees add to the overall video. Thank you to the crew for an excellent coverage of the entire event. I sincerely wish everyone a good chance at the gift of $15,000 and do NOT envy Jason and Tawnee having to make a decision on who receives it. God bless you all and thank you for being there for all these rescue facilities and the horses. ❤

I was really happy to see you focus on Tori Taylor's rescue, Horses of Gili in Indonesia. She's doing remarkable things there. Not only does she never turn any animal away, whether horse or other animals, she also helps support ALL the island's working ponies, not just the ones in her rescue. She helps educate locals on better horse care, provides feed, tack, lessons, medical supplies, worming, farrier work, free water (there is no water on the islands, it must be shipped in or bought from a desalinization plant), etc. Her donations have dropped as the islands have reopened after covid, yet her needs are higher than ever. It's too bad she couldn't have come, but it was nice to get a little exposure. Hopefully some people will see that, get curious like I did, and go follow Horses of Gili. And maybe she'll get some more much-needed donations.

I’ve followed you for about 7 years now and saw the progress. What you share with others is critical to their continued success. The model makes the difference as long as the rescues are willing to listen, learn, keep the focus always and leave your personality aside, and trust the process. You’ll go places we all want collectively to see happen. Wow is all I can say and when you include God in your successes and sharing, it gets no better. Bless each and everyone of your team. Keep the focus and I can’t wait to see where you go next and how you team across America with these wonderful groups!

I think it would be a brilliant idea to have anyone that wants to start a rescue to attend the tour and the seminar part, even if they're not able to compete for the grant! Look how much education this event teaches! I would love to attend for the information alone until I would be ready for applying for the grant!!! Please consider having seminars open to anyone that is interested because I really feel that knowledge is power, and even if they aren't ready for the grant it will give people a wonderful start, and help them decide if they even have what it takes to go forward!

Tawnee and Jason... Quite frankly I am overwhelmed by what you have accomplished, and the fact that you are willing to take the time out of your crazy busy life to mentor other organizations is just amazing. I am so proud of you guys!!! You emphasize using social media to get your message out, and I agree that is an absolute must. I had never even heard of Horse Plus until short Reels kept popping up in my FB feed of Tawnee leading Mistletoe around in the arena. That drew my interest, I wanted to know more, and I've been a faithful follower of this wonderful organization ever since. Toward the end of this video, when you mentioned that you opened your staff meetings and began your day with prayer, pointing out that it has been with God's blessing that you have been able to accomplish so much here, I literally got goose bumps. Knowing that you acknowledge that, and are willing to boldly share your faith, along with your thankfulness to Him, I believe that He will continue to bless you and your efforts. I believe that with every ounce of my being. Love you and God bless you! ♥

Tawnee, I have to share your doing great and good things and I am so proud of you and Jason for this conference as I am watching the video right now thru KZread. I am also glad to see Oregon finally involved in this video. There are several shelters there that deserve the check and help of mentoring. I have to spill my heart out to your cause you and your team are so amazing and the love of everyone In this video. My dream was to care for horses but my dream didn't get to happen, I to was neglected, abused and hurt by a family member who caused a lot of trauma in my life to the point I have learning disabilities. Horses are still in my life, I got to go to my favorite special needs camp that has horses and I got to ride one named gus. When I get to ride I feel free and spend my small amount of time with the horses. I watch both vets and horse plus and I have spread the videos to great friends to where I am totally caught up on both sets of the videos. I love Horse Plus Rescue society

Gosh I was already crying at the beginning of this episode - and at the end again. So many amazing organizations! What they had to say was very interesting and I learned more. This program is absolutely amazing! Networking is so incredibly important. And to see so many come together to make a real change for animals touched my heart deeply. What Tawnee and Jason did from such a small starting point is really astonishing. And to share it with others so more and more animals can get the help they need - very inspiring! I really, really hope one day the slaughter across the world will not exist in the way it does now harming so many innocent animals. A big thank you to every single person working so hard towards this goal!

I’m really hoping that Safe Acres Animal Sanctuary is on your list to visit! Central Oregon has quite a few horse rescues and they’re all slightly different in their methods and philosophies. What has impressed me about Safe Acres founder Vicki is her determination to learn from others and expand her knowledge of different methodologies by taking the time to go to clinics and workshops. I’ve volunteered at multiple rescues over the last 15 or so years and I’ve seen how easy it is to get stuck in the rut of thinking “my way’s the best way” and becoming blind to the possibilities that are out there. I don’t get that impression whatsoever about Vicki! Fingers crossed you’ll be coming to Oregon! Also, the intro to your video gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I watch it. Masterful editing and so impactful!

Tammy you are practicing 5S hands down for effective, waste free intake and rehab. You’ve cut waste and disorganization with your set up, intake process, daily care all the way down to your administrative processes. The 5S pillars, Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu), and Sustain (Shitsuke), provide a methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and sustaining a productive work environment.

To think this all started with a sacrifice. Tawnee giving up her horse to save others and now look at what's happening with that unselfish decision!

Do you have a back web chat for all the interconnected groups to ask questions of one another or send out a sos that is not in the public eye?

I know that they have regular private phone and video meetings and conferences with different people and groups. They have shown some of these in the day in the life or week in the life videos. There have been a few times that someone has said that another group contacted them and needs emergency help with something so that video will be different etc. I think that is the type of thing you were asking and if so, yes they do.

I am puzzled by something in the video. There is mention, twice, of a surrender fee. In previous videos, the thing that has been mentioned is an amount paid by the organization to the person surrendering the animal, which hopefully will prevent them from surrendering the animal to auction. Until watching this video, my understanding was that the payment to a person surrendering a horse was started at Carrie's organization, and then Tawnee was thinking to try it out at HPHS. If someone from HPHS could please respond on this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much! 🙂
