Stromae is a singer from Belgium. For this clip, he choosed to play like a drunk guy (Stromae doesn't drink alcool at all), and was filmed by hidden cameras in a big place of Brussels, capital city of Belgium, place where a lot of trams pass by. He was first helped by a girl, then cops who wanted to drive him home. Belgium is cetainely the less racist country in Europe.

Stromae is a genius! he was the only actors in this video and want to show how ppl reacted to ''this guy'' Each one of his video are diffent in the makink, style and music form. Can't wait to see what he is cooking for us and releas this fall.

This video always makes me so sad. Stromae was only acting, but for millions of people this is the everyday life. Homeless and addicted . And judged over it. Life can treat you cruel. And you never know how it feels to walk in another persons shoes.

It's the most awful aspect of being on the streets. I used to be homeless, and the feeling of being invisible was more taxing than hunger or being in the rain and cold. I got out of it, and try to "do the right thing" with homeless people, if only just buying a coffee or something in the morning while walking to work. One recent event sticks in my mind and illustrates it quite well. It was in the days preceding the first lockdown for Covid, I go to the bakery and buy some bread, and two coffees, one for myself, one for a dude begging a bit further up. I get out, give the guy his coffee, and the dude starts crying. I ask him if he's ok, and he tells me nobody has spoken to him for the last 4 days. He wasn't even aware there was a major pandemic headed our way.

People were bashing him online after this happened, when they still thought it was real...posting videos of him online etc..I would’ve loved to see their faces when they saw this clip when it came out..

The true story behind this clip comes from another video that went viral where a rude « fan » recognized him in his car while he was eating and decided to film him and asked him to sing. Stromae politely refused so the « fan » went angry. The fact that this footage became more popular than his previous polished and sophisticated video clip made him crazy so Stromae decided to give people what they wanted to see. He gave us another buzz video. I’m watching your videos since Nightwish reactions and I’m glad you also react to other music languages.

Stromae is a creative mastermind. He made a great album and then he quit. He said: "I'm not gonna bring out an album just because I have to. Only if I got inspiration to make good music." I can really respect that. His music is his art and not just a job.

Only time I've felt as bad as the character in this video, it was after a breakup. World losing color. Falling apart. That kind. Went to a bar by myself because I had decided that I might as well drink away my life, and the Uber driver did what you said - took a second and asked what was wrong. I told him that it was a breakup and that I lost someone wonderful. He said, "No. You didn't lose her, because she never belonged to you." Wasn't perfect advice and I was pissed at him at the time, but it was enough to help me cut through the self-righteous pity clouds I was lost in. What I get from this video is when he says “I can’t have children”. I think that’s why the woman (in the song) dumped him. And how many other women will dump “a guy like me”? At the end he says, “do you think I’m a monkey? Give me a baby monkey and it will be “formidable”. It’s heartbreaking!
