The street has a length of 1.104 kilometers. During the summer weekends, the street serves as a pedestrian promenade with the closure of automobile traffic. The pedestrian promenade is divided into nine zones:
- National street food;
- Art platform - exhibition of installations;
- Drawings on the asphalt;
- Flower area;
- National crafts and crafts;
- Dancing and live music;
- Fair;
- Book exchange area;
- Sports and gaming area.
In 2016, the street was renamed to Azerbaijan Mambetov Street.
