Heard they closing the basalt side. Did u launch at Dino Point? Is the lake still open?

Launched out of basalt. They’re closing down that side in June

Nice boat and equipment. I used to have a seaswirl with a cuddy cabin. I took it out once before I sold it. I really liked that boat but I never had time to fish. Good to see you enjoying your boat and catching some nice stripers definitely made for a great first day out fishing on your boat.

It’s definitely not an easy lake to fish but when you recognize a pattern it’s easy pickings.

Is it even legal to fish umbrella in cali?

It's legal to use the Atlas Rig in Cali

Congrats on the new boat! I'm jealous :-) I only have a motorized kayak - do you think I can catch stripers trolling on the O'Neill side? Will probably launch from the Medeiros area. Thanks.

Yes you can. Just use common sense when you’re out there. I’ve seen kayakers n people on float tubes

What's up partner congrats on your new toy. I have to say it would be nice to take a ride on it one day. Also I heard you mention you were going to look into a different trolling motor. Can I ask you what you're going to do with your old one. I might be interested

Thanks brother. I like the 2.5-3mph range. If they’re active I’ll go a bit faster.
