On this trip, I get an invite to fish with David on his boat. We fish the Frank's Tract area for stripers. Trolling was tough in the morning for stripers so we decided to try casting. I only brought crappie gear so I started jigging right below the boat. And right away, striped bass started biting. I caught em all on crappie jigs and I didn't have to cast far.
We were staged right on a ledge on the incoming tide. The current blows debris right over the ledge and that's what attracts the stripers to the area. We ended the day with limits after catching our last fish trolling the Tackle Builders Atlas Rig.
