He shouldn't have flashed the money, but the reason he had that kind of cash is because he didn't trust banks. You can't trust anyone, so you keep it to yourself

I’ve listened to the first version by the composer, Bob Miller (1928), when it was seven cents. Then several where the cotton was eleven cents. Stringbean’s version is by far the best.
