Ahh the memories. I remember when I struggled on this for hours and hours. This one video started my journey as someone who does string figures.even though you will probably never read this, you are my string figure idol, even though you haven't uploaded in at least a year. Thanks so much for making this video. If it wasn't for this video, I would not have been so addicted to string figures. Thank you.

As you enter the :40 mark there are two far thumb strings on each side of the figure. One goes towards the little finger of the same hand, and the other goes diagonally toward the middle of the figure. Bend each thumb so it hooks and catches only the diagonal string on its side of the figure. Separate the thumbs slightly to allow the other thumb loop to slip off while the hooked one remains. When only one thumb loop remains, upright the thumb. Give yourself a more positive screen name.

This is amazing and I have mastered the harder ones in Ms. Jayne's book. It is hard to follow between 59 and 60 but by studying the second frame in relation to the one before it, it will emerge! Also it ruins the figure to pull it tight between steps. Perseverance furthers. Wilder

After the dog is moved to the left drop all left hand strings and the complexity should dissolve easily.

Make the dog go to the left hand then let go of left hand strings. Now put left hand between right hand string strings. Move left hand to the left and the string should become undone.
