Kennedy went 5 rounds with PRIME Rockhold. Let that sink in. He was a serious dude back then. He also beat Lawler, Manhoef, and Bisping all in their primes. And Strikeforce's camera angles were so much better than current UFC. Much more "in" the fight than "watching" it.

They definitely had a handful of elite fighters and put on some excellent cards but I don’t think they put on as many consistently good fights as the UFC or the WEC. They had a lot of dog shit fights too. Personally the best mma organization at that time was the WEC. In my opinion. They all literally came to the UFC and became massive stars and that can definitely be said of some of the strikeforce guys too but not anywhere near as many. Dominic Cruz, Uriah Faber, Chael Sonnon, Brian Stann, Ben Henderson, Anthony Pettis, Mighty Mouse Jonson, Cowboy Cerronne, Jose Aldo, Mark Homonick and many more.

Kennedy was definitely an undersized Middleweight. He looks like he could’ve cut to 170lb. Super strong guy and an absolute animal.
