They were prolific song writers and producers, not just singers. They wrote for LOTS of other artists. I imagine you could do some internet research on them or look at their catalogue on line. They were some of my favorite artists in the 70s.

Actually a lady named Fanny was their housekeeper. After writing the song, they were looking for a female name to add to the song, thought of her, and her name lives on in their song.

If you can find the video, you'll see that it's actually Barry and Robin singing the high falsettos. Together, they were beyond magical ❤❤❤

One of my all-time favorite songs-- all three of the brothers can sing falsetto with perfect pitch. Barry can sing whole songs in his and can sustain the highest notes. His pre-1976 voice is his tenor chest voice -- can be very soulful. Robin has a gorgeous, almost operatic voice which can be booming/soaring to tenderly quavering in vibrato. Maurice has a rich lower register-- perfectly meeting his brothers' voices in a distinctive, iconic blend, as only siblings can blend.

This song was never sung live because as you can hear there are so many layers to this song that it was too difficult. I do know that all that falsetto in the background is Barry as with Nights on Broadway he went back after this song was recorded and added all the adlib falsetto to it.

Please do other songs recorded by other artists that The Bee Gees wrote. Some include: If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) -- went to #1 Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand)- went to #1!. In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and Barry did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. They won a Grammy for best song by a group or duo for Guilty. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons) - went to #1. In fact, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD with Barry doing a lot of background vocals. Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on this CD too. This was her best selling CD! The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) - went to #1 in several European countries! And yes, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees (went to number 1 in several countries),also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent! More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it. Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli), went #1 Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer) Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;). Andy's 3 released solo songs all went to #1!

So, if you take some time and watch their live, Maurice (plays keyboards, bass, and guitar) has few leads, BUT, while his brothers sing, he loved to clown around, even too the camera from a production crew member Man in the Middle, Closer than Close are 2 he does sing lead Anyway, one thing they do, whomever is not singing, they step back until they need to join in, Eagles is the only other band that I have noticed that does that Enjoy that rabbit hole They wrote Islands in the Stream (Kenny Roger and Dolly sing it), Woman in Love for Barbara Streisand, and more

They also wrote for other performers such as Diana Ross, Kenny Roger's, Dolly Pardon,Celion Dion, Michael Jackson , Samantha Sang, Barbara Streisand (matter of fact, Barry Gibb wrote her entire "Guilty" album and Sang duet on quite a few of those songs on that album) .They are amazing ,musical geniuses...Legends..Their catalog contains over 1000 songs..also Barry co-wrote with Andy Gibb on Andy s first three #1 hits as the beegees provided his backup vocals on those songs as well..
