I was 3 episodes of this in Australia.

There is a lot more to this compared to the UK strike it lucky/rich..it used to take Michael Barrymore the first half of the show to get to interview and joke with the contestants..this host gets to know them better whilst the game is actually in progress

In reality you could end this “game” in like 12-15 mins. Michaels banter made something so basic more entertaining.

Had absolutely no idea there was an Australian version of the show.. I'm assuming that the UK version was the original but correct me if I'm wrong

There's even a version of Strike it Rich/Strike it Lucky in South Africa as well-- called Telly Fun Quiz down there. (And in the place of bandits and Hot Spots, it had Booby Traps.) Look it up when and if you get the chance. :-)
