Sad lava man walks with his smaller brother while some other creature wants to ride him

One day I decided to start a survival world in the 20w15a snapshot where i spawned in the nether instead of the overworld (like everyone is doing rn). I was playing for a while, exploring, avoiding death every second, finding biomes and bartering with piglins. I just got out of a nether fortress (no luck with the loot) when i saw a strider. It was really weird, because it was nowhere near lava, it was there, standing in the netherrack, pale skin and shivering. I got really sad because I really wanted to save that poor little guy, but there was no lava in sight. I roamed around looking for lava when i saw a deadly hole that lead to a lava ocean beneath. So i rushed over to the dying strider and pushed towards that hole, praying that it didn't die before getting to the hole. I eventually i got him into the hole and he survived! He happily started swimming in the lava almost immediatly. I knew that he was going to despawn but I didn't care, I saved him and that's all that matters. P.S: A hoglin yeeted me into lava later that day.
