I've been string beading for a few years now. I've been putting off using stretch cord. So I tried it today using the Stretch Magic youtube tutorial. The knot just wouldn't hold. I figured there must be some other options out there. I came across YOUR youtube tutorial. Thank you very much! You saved me. YOUR knot didn't fall apart! Thanks again!

Do a surgeons knot ×2 and a surgeon knot is which can be done in 2 ways imo 1 over hand knot then the next knot wrap the cord twice and then pull tight that equals 1 surgeon knot then do it again so you have 2 surgeon knots... and alittle glue and let it set for atleast 20 hrs

Thank you for explaining about the different size cords. As a beginner I did not understand about filling the beads hole. I made a few bracelets with stretch cord and they seemed to have too much cord showing when they were done and I couldn't figure out why. Now after watching your video I believe it's because I'm not using the correct size cord. Most videos do not explain enough about the cord and that is important information. Thank you, again.

Do u know if the .7mm opelon (double stranded) can fit through a 1mm hole of a 8mm gemstone bead???? A previous video I saw mentioned double stringing is best for heavier beads. And another thing about opelon is that big eye needles are a bit sharp and can shred the opelon so it's best to be careful and aware of that

I'm new to your channel and like the little I've seen of it. I've been doing beadwork on and off for the last 20 or so years. My experience though is limited to mostly brick, peyote, herringbone, gourd stitches. I've done a lot of Native American projects for friend to wear as part of their regalia. I'm just beginning to want to branch out in other directions and feel encouraged with watching some of your videos. Thank you. :)

Opelon is fine for heavy beads and if they have a larger hole even better cuz imo your supposed to double it up atleast 2 strands and for me i quadruple it up so theres 4 strands running through the whole piece also if u know all your beads are smooth and if theyre not just sand the holes alittle bit, then it wont shred...

I have a rare, gold pendant that I definitely don't want to lose because of a weak, unreliable thread that snaps easily when pulling. So what is the strong cord/thread for precious jewelry? Something a little bit thicker, and black. I will make and tie it myself.

I am a bit disappointed in Stretch Magic and similar cords. Not just they are not strong, but after several years in the closet out of the sun, they became so weak, I can break them easily with my hands. I am trying shock cord in 1 mm now and see, if it is better.

Hi, I know this is an old video but I still watch it when I am trying to make a knot on a bracelet with the stretch cord, 1mm, I think. It doesn't matter the size, it's always the same. It is so frustrating because I see how easy you do it even pulling the bracelet before you continue with the 3rd knot. Mine gets undone even when I am trying to make it tight the 2nd time. Whyyyyy??? 😫😫😫 I put the beads easily but then it can take me an hour or more before I just quit and forget about it completely. I just put everything away and zero stretchy bracelet 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈

Can you please get bk to me on this one,, thank you🌹🌺🌼🌸🌷🍁🍂
