Stress Test for Heart Disease_Rutland Heart Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center

See what having a Stress Test will be like.
A Stress Test is used to test for heart disease. It is called a Stress Test because it usually involves walking or running on a treadmill or pedaling a stationary bike while you're hooked up to an EKG (electrocardiogram) machine monitoring your heart and a blood pressure machine monitoring your blood pressure.
This tests helps the doctor to:
• Determine if there is enough blood flow to your heart during increased levels of
physical activity
• Identify abnormal heart rhythms
• Check to see if a procedure you may have had done to improve the blood flow to
your heart has been effective
• Determine if your heart medications to control your angina is effective

Having a stress test September 25, 2020 and I'm so nervous! The cardiologist will be present during the test. Apparently these days, the cardiologist is present during the test. I just pray I can get through it and pass it without having to be injected with that med that mimicks like I did exercise.
