    Ha ha guess there's always that, no one made you do a loop to loop that close to the ground. But landing has to be a whole load easier no speed control, and individual trim on rudders etc. Would be interesting to see if you still need liability insurance here in the UK for one.

    I'll watch anything Shug related. Think I might have to get into Control Line flying. By the way, found out you're going to be in Shelby, NC on October 22nd for a scout show. That's my home town and i was looking forward to meeting you. However, I've been called out of town for that week and won't return in time for the show. Hope they treat you well!

    I got my start in U/C as a 7 year old stooge. I love planes and am still flying today. I've got 10 years on the Hickory Brothers. I met Shug and his then future wife when the Circus came to WP Beach Fl. Every winter I'd see the Circus family as I had a local business near the shows location

    Consecutive loops were good ... triangles were passable ... squares need a lot of work. Old C/L pilot here (stunt & combat). Were those std. 60 ft. lines? Seems like for a craft that large you should use longer lines. Don't know if the AMA rules on such have changed. When I flew stunt (aerobatics), Fox .35 Stunt was king, although there were a few using Johnson .35s. OS Max was starting to get popular in stunt, and combat was ruled by Fox, SuperTiger and Johnson. Lots of good memories. If we had an active club around with guys still flying C/L, I'd be temped to fly again. We don't, so now I fly electric r/c quadcopters.

    With a big .61 engine driving it it has a bit of pull but trimmed properly it is not bad. I love flying it!

    In your neck of the woods, what seasons do you figure are best for flying? I know for myself, and my small planes (1/2A), fall is the best, because of the cooler air and lack of wind.

    Hi Suge I was trying to let the fella know were to possibly purchase a Electric Setup that's why I mentioned Brodaks Electric version of the SV-11. I only fly IC love the smell of the Exhaust to much lol. My Son's SV-11 has a Ro-Jett 65 piped engine. My SV-11 has a Stalker 66 both fly great! Also have a Vector almost a smaller version of a SV-11 great flying planes! Il be building my all time favorite design here soon a Windy Urtnowski 92 Cardinal with a K-77 WOO Buddy!

    LOL .. so I knew you guys were talking about the engine but ... I did a duckduckgo search (because I'm kind of dorky) and the 3rd result left me laughing so I tried google and it popped up again only in 2nd this time and the third result on google was titled " I am walking 8 foxes at the top of my head and trying to keep their tails apart!" which just sent me down a whole new dorky rabbit hole. Sorry but I had to share.

    I know THE PATTERN is great, but it is boring to the observer. These dweebs are gone to Burger KIng after one minute of watching. Lets get back to the true grit of C/L....SUS (scare you stiff). Avoiding a crash 1 inch from the ground, flying very fast in an overhead dive. Something an R/C plane cannot do.
