@@BlindiRLHey at least it was the normal kind of wood working xD
I will watch the interview if/when you get it.
I enjoyed the video, and hope that they make a great game. I just wanted to comment on the goal of creating games that have the potential for dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of hours of play. It's okay if a game is good (like Moonhunters), but only provides twenty or thirty hours of game play (perhaps far less!). Sure, depending on your value of a dollar, the amount of play hours necessary to earn it's worth varies. I thought Dishonored was great. Let's say I played it for 30 hours and paid $30; that's a value of a dollar an hour. Some people have played Dwarf Fortress for 500+ hours. Does that mean that Dwarf Fortress should cost $500 to reflect it's value? Games that provide hundreds of hours of game play are awesome, but they set an unrealistic standard. Short, well made games have value too.
Shadows of Doubt has a license agreement which says that you are not allowed to use it to make similar games, so someone openly saying that they studied it to make their game raises some questions.

That seems like a real strange thing to put in a license agreement.

Nah then the licence is dumb🗿. The court won't be thier favour if that's the case

I assume they have some level of mod-ing implemented or planned in Shadows of Doubt, Unity games can also be forcefully modded using "BepInEx". Another assumption, but I think they were trying to say that you cannot make an overhaul mod and monetize it or sell it as a separate game (Doom/Wolfenstein famously allowed this through licensing contracts even in the 90's, and is free now as far as I understand even commercially with obvious rules like don't just reuse all the original art and sounds etc.) So either their licensing was poorly under-described or someone has misinterpreted things, or possibly game devs/studios getting full of themselves after success.. -cough- -cough- that never happens though XD
An interview would be nice but its prob way to early to get real answers right know. maybe wait till they are closer to announce something more solid. else the interview will only create hype for a game that doesn't know what it is yet.
Interesting
Honestly I feel like worst case we get something that somewhat feels like Kenshi, which I would be totally fine with
That reminds me old game The Guild. Cool game.

Agreed. It was shoddy as heck, but just provided such a unique experience despite of it. Underrated gems those games
I like the idea, the cutesy art style isn't my taste but I can get past that if the game is good. I prefer a grittier, darker more atmospheric feel.
Wait its 2 years in development but its only a pitch? Hows that possible? What did they do for 2 years long then? I dont get it, what is the gameplay footage we’re seeing in the trailer while you’re also saying there is no actual gameplay yet. I’m so confused by this lol

Often, game trailers just show single modules that will just present on high level what's to be expected from the controls and the menu. I also assume that the first scene with the thief was hard-coded and therefore not representative of the actual gameplay experience when you actually steal something.
