Street Talk: Coronation Street 24th - 28th June 2024

Ойын-сауық

Overall this was a pretty good week, we thought, which isn't always the case when the Winter-Browns are headlining! However, some excellent performances by Dolly-Rose Campbell and the addition of Kit as he saves her from prison really helped us to enjoy this week's A-story, plus we're always suckers for a bit of location shooting too! Elsewhere on the Street, we're finally introduced to DS Swain's daughter Betsy, who looks set to be a real troublemaker; Glenda and George's spat is too much for Michael to bear; and Tim has a big decision to make when it comes to how he's going to be spending Steve's birthday - we sense a bust-up at the bust unveiling is imminent!

That ws exactly the first thing that sprang to mind when it was revealed that Gemma got a parking ticket; how on earth can they afford anything that even remotely looks like a car?!? At most a carriage without a horse but even that would be a stretch for them; they can't even feed their kids properly. I looked up the ticket Gemma received and it sort of read as follows: " it is a Penalty Charge Notice, date on which notice served reads: 10/06/2024 for motor vehicle with registration mark KB07 WLF being a black Vauxhall Zafira, which was seen in Burnham's Wholesale car park, Danton Street Weatherfield M10 4YS from 14:31 to/at 14:46. Date of contravention: 10/06/2024." No idea if a Vauxhall Zafira (if such car indeed really exists) is a big one or not but there's no chance in hell they could afford this. Just my two cents 😊

It is an important point that Corrie seems to forget about benefits and even with Ken's care storyline.. if he had no money, the council would have funded his care.

Children get 30 hours of free nursery in the UK but it depends on the age of the kids

Hi guys love the podcast. As a huge fan of Doctor Who I would love a cameo on the cobbles maybe RTD could get a mention. And there was a 1993 children in need special where various Doctors and companions end up on Albert Square. Its on KZread if you wanted to check it out ❤
