Depends on setup for track length. So final drive ratio. Example if you run a 1to1 drive gear, which is common 3rd gear in 3spd or 4th in 4spd or drive in pg or th350, then it's the rear end gear like say 6.20 gear. Final drive is 6.20. You calculated your trans gear ratios with your ring and pinion gear ratios to get final drive. Longer track needs taller final drive. Shorter track needs lower final drive.

@sidebite2533

Wrong. The Street Stock class requires a GM OEM stock frame or a Manufactured Metric Frame. Shocks must be mounted in the factory location. They're not running offset chassis, the rules require a full perimeter frame but doesn't say anything about running a rail straight from the front clip at the bend to the front of the rear clip at the kick up. We were doing it to the Chevelle's back when these metric chassis cars were showroom new. But what do you think they're doing with the Camaro and Nova chassis that just have a straight rail front clip but allow frame connectors to make them "safer"?
