sorry if this is a dumb question but how does breaking work with electric motorcycles? is it like a regular motorcycle? front break right hand, back brake left foot?

Not a dumb question at all! Yes, breaking is the exact same as a gasoline motorcycle. The eletric motor also provides breaking through regen when you let go of the throttle similarly to engine breaking experienced on combustion engines. The only major difference in controls is that it has only 1 gear, no clutch lever and no gear lever
