Me too, i never though in that before! Sounds basic, but i'll use that advice from now on.

Thanks for sharing your "mindset." What a great way to organize something that might otherwise be completely random. Your approach really does help tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Well done!

6:52 this is really good advice. I usually go around shooting without a plan and ended up with no images at all, so i'll try to use this mindset from now on and see if i can get better images this year!

Fantastic video my GR III diary addition came yesterday I already have the GR I I love what you have done here this video but I want to ask why are you blurring out the eyes as if this were some medical textbook written in 1953? I never see anybody else of doing that and I'm wondering what you guys feel obligated to do so it's no big deal and just trying to be educated about this thank you

Haha, I thought you were going to shoot a picture of that Bird (girl), but you shot a picture of a real Bird. ;) Nice information on how you set up your camera. Love the use of the billiard!!! I just received a GRIII. I'm learning how to shoot all over again, this camera is so minimal. Note, why do you blur faces, is that law where you live? Or are you just being cautious about what the subject of the photo might want?

I really enjoy your videos Ivan. It’s a shame that a channel of a company that sells great cameras to embrace street photography would blur out the faces (and expressions, and emotion) in your photos. Don’t know why they keep doing this. Only hope to see your uncensored photos somewhere else.

I'm guessing because this is commercial use of the photos and the subjects in the photos didn't sign a model release for that. Ricoh doesn't want to get sued

How do you automatically switch between auto and snap focus?

You can have the camera set up to use both. A soft half press is normal autofocus and a hard press triggers snap focus.

The new Ricoh Griiix has me wanting to sell my Fujifilm x100f. I feel that the 40mm focal length would be better for street. I struggle composing shots on the wider fujifilm lens, I think it’s 27mm.

I find it puzzling that you have taken the photos but then blank out the faces, why?

No offence but I find the blurred faces quite peculiar and not enjoyable to view. This is street photography right? No laws are being broken.

Nice video, the blurred face thing is truly bizarre though.
