This is my favourite photography channel, it's informative and humorous which is the perfect way to teach. Over the years I've taken loads of photos in London and a few came out really well, and I'll be honest I didn't know initially why people liked them better. Your video about light and shadows helped to explain one of my favourites and now I feel better equipped to take more successful images. Off to Venice in October and eager to get dawn and dusk images of the usual canal/gondola/flooded square/etc, but now also looking forward to getting some more midday images in small streets with light and shadows. Do you have any local tips or info about Venice?

I’ve been following you for years and have listened to your Covid Leica talks and your B&H lectures multiple times each. These videos are wonderful. Including the unique thinking I love you for but more room to enjoy your wonderful personality and sense of humor as well. The lectures have it but hilariously they seem to be filled with inside jokes in that no one there seems to bring a personality along. Idk, that’s the way it seems watching from home but they have me laughing out loud throughout. Anyways, bravo for this channel. I’ve been wishing it was here for ages. Lots more please!!!!

My dad lived in South Ken for years, Ensor Mews, Onslow Mews West and Bute Street. I always used to see Francis Bacon there, his studio backed onto Bute Street. Polanski's Repulsion was shot around there too. A nice area, back in the day it felt a bit like a village.

So interesting and well made, like the quality we get from Alan's photography. Plus... this is probably the most funny thing I had this year (after JHS KZread channel's video "How To Build A Pedal Company In 2023..."). Gosh, Alan is hilarious! 😂 (Not a surprise at all) Having this humour is certainly more healthy that eating a dish of vegetables 😂 The world needs more Alans! Alan saves (also vegetables! 🤣😂)! PS: the viewer has to pay very attention to every detail here. You might miss a laugh! 😊
