Other people have commented something similar, but fyi, pastel comes from the Chinese egg roll. Chinese people were the first one opening pastel shops (pastelarias) in Brazil, adapting the filling to the Brazilian taste. Until now most pastelarias are owned by Chinese or Japanese descendants in Brazil (my family is one of them, they have a pastelaria in Sao Paulo for more than 50 years now).

Ive lived in many cities of China for more than galf my life and have never ever saw or tasted anything remotely close to Pastel. Must be one of those emmigrant foods. Korea also has a Korean-Chinese cuisine that is specific to Korea only.
Interesting to see different street food from different areas
Love theses streets food venture all the different street food hey guys good to see y'all enjoy your food take care 😘😘❤️🥰😍🤩🙏🌈💯🌹
Great vid, thank you for taking me with you.
I used to live in Nagoya and it's so nice seeing Osu again! I'm not sure of the shop name, but there was this Wagashi shop I used to go to where they had sweet red bean paste wrapped and deep fried in this pancake like batter. It was sooo good, and fluffy and sweet. If you two end up in Osu again and manage to find it, I highly recommend them.

Glad you enjoyed this one
If you get back to the popcorn place, try the yellow cheddar cheese popcorn with the caramel popcorn. Take one of each and eat then together. They call it Chicago style. So yummy!! Salty and sweet together 🤤
I’m so happy that you liked brazilian food!
Thanks guys !! Been enjoying this year with you both so far 🥰🫶🏾

Thanks so much
Love your street food videos. Everything looked so tasty. I would like to try that Brazil place, that looked delicious. Take care guys!😊
Ossu Brazil is truly one of the best shops there!! The smell is always so delicious!
Love your Channel, Shinichi & Satoshi! ⛩ If I ever have some expendable cash, I want to subscribe to Bokksu. Their packaging, in & of itself, is amazing…100% Japanese quality.
Aloha Shinichi and Satoshi! I just love the Osu area. Nagoya is totally under rated. We've had layovers and spent the night but never really got to explore the city. It was on our radar for our last trip to Japan and we watched your videos about Nagoya and saw all the food and knew we just had to check it out. We loved it and will totally going back when the Maglev train goes there. We need to spend more time, there was no way we could try everything we wanted to try. I totally wanted to get Tops popcorn but already got Garrets popcorn at the station so next time. Mahalo for sharing!

So happy you like Nagoya as much as we do.
Hello from the Philippines! The pinipig in your halo-halo is pounded or flattened toasted young rice, similar to rolled oats but yummier 😊

Thank you
You two look more handsome every day! 👍 I always love your walking tours of Nagoya. On this adventure, I found the beef pastel from Ossu Brasil most appealing. Did they have a vegetarian version? The Taiwanese Castella would've been my favorite sweet--mmmmm, strawberries, cake, and cream is hard to beat. Thank you for another fun video. Love to you both. 💙💜
That cheese bread is amazing ❤ there's a coffee shop near me that does it delicious
I love that Satoshi will always find something positive to say, even if it's just "Interesting"!
Yum Yum. Absolutely Outstanding
Hahaha, the subtitle at 1:32 xD "Satoshi is this bear."
I love your videos, guys! Here, in the region of São Paulo, Brasil, lives a vast population of japanese descendents. The "pastel" is a creation of this "colony". The best "pastéis" are made for japanese people and their descendents. 🥰🥰🥰
thank you.
Happy to see brazilian food in here! You guys also have to try our also tradicional food called “coxinha” and a can of soda “guaraná antártica”!

my Brazilian wife introduced me to these items. A coxinha is a croquette. No big deal imho but my wife raves about them and the guaran is easily replaced by a ginger ale. Lol!

We so need a Halo Halo shop here in my part of FL. I want to eat it so badly. It would be the best thing around these parts all year round due to it mostly being hot almost all year and then all our snow birds will eat it in the winter.
Morning guys that looks fantastic just like you both ❤❤❤❤
So many delicious snacks! The popcorn bear make a nice gift. Thank you for sharing ❤
I love Nagoya! The umeboshi onigiri is what stands out for me.
Tats so interesting! So many new food! Yes I prefer the italian type thin crust pizza too!
Welcome to Nagoya! 😃 Love Osu! 👍😊
🌺 Aloha Shinichi and Satoshi 🎄 Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) I love watching your vlogs. Keep it up! I’m so excited to watch your video! Pizza Waffle looks so amazing!🍕 It still looks onolicious! ☃️🧑🏼🎄🤶🏼
Great video guys , maybe you could do your own version of the waffle pizza at home where you could make it as crispy based as you like and toppings you like.
Hello 👋🏻 It’s always interesting to see what you two will eat next ❤
the queijo and the waffle pizza look so good
Merry Christmas guys! 👍
My daughter would love to try the pizza waffle.
been watching since the buffet days! Keep it up. Are there any good all you can eat in Japan?

We both enjoyed the all you can eat buffet at Yokohama’s new Hilton Hotel. It was a good mix of Japanese, Chinese and Western food.
👍👍
Great video. Great foods. But Ube is not sweet potato. It's purple yam.
Khan!!!! lol 🙂
That is interesting as our colored popcorn in the US is just candy coated and colored but it does not usually have flavors. It is usually just a caramel corn, kettle corn, or regular popcorn.

Actually at specialty shops they are flavored, you can also buy some online that are flavored
Were many of the businesses in Nagoya able to recover from the pandemic? Were there a lot of businesses that had to close permanently, especially restaurants?
Popcorn! Oh well whatever pays.
pinipig is rice crispy... glad you love halo halo... hi from the Philippines... take care always shinichi and satoshi
Love your channel! But how do manage to eat so much and not put weight on!
Will you please sometime do a vegan street food tour? Thanks!
It's just a guess but the crispy things in the Halo-Halo dessert might be waterchestnut pieces. I remember eating a vietnamese dessert similar to this and crispy things inside were water chestnut pieces! Besides that, It's very interesting to such international food in Nagoya! Very great video!!😊😊

Do research the history of Chicken Tikka. Did you know that it was most likely made by Bangladeshis? But this is still being debated.
