Every time she nods and smiles after taking a bite of the food, I always do the same thing when she does cause I know she never talks and know exactly what she's going to do.

I had a friend in college from Singapore who raved about the food. Videos like this show why. I would love to visit someday and try it for myself.

Please make videos showing more of Singapore (walking around)! I think that would be super cool! Your wife brings a smile to my face every time she smiles and nods enjoying the food! I hope one day I can try them, all the food looks amazing, especailly the satay or the pancake. In the US I never see shrimp satay and I love shrimp!! I only see chicken/beef/pork satay in Thai restaurants usually. Most importantly, they never come with a rice cake! A lot of Americans have no idea what a rice cake or mochi is, but I love them! I make them at home

Oh man! That last place, the building was amazing!!! The bells chiming, reminding me of my Great Grandma's clock that sat in her living room. Wow that brought back some good memories!

The entire video is the same place :) it's the lau pa sat historical complex. Bacons visited mostly the stalls located on the outer grounds of the complex that's why we didn't get a full view. The clock chimes in the noon too! So many good memories eating there.

The food there is generally more expensive than neighbouring hawker centres so, to be honest, you rarely see locals there. Some food sellers will keep pestering you to buy and it is honestly quite annoying.

yup, Lau Pa Sa is generally aimed towards tourist which is why you see all sort of international stalls there and like you say, the price is alot more expensive and if you ask around, people would just point you to other nearby hawker/food court that is just cheaper.

Really wish there was a 'food on a stick' or 'food in a paper bag/wrapper' culture where I am. It would be amazing to be able to eat this fresh without cooking at home.

I worked at the building right beside LPS and this brings back memory. Haven't been back for over a year. Miss the food and the chime of the clock lol. And when I work over time and street vendors pushing their push carts out and start grilling at 7pm. I miss the smell of bbq lol. Hope it's still the same now.

In fact, it is. When you visit Malaysia or Singapore, try the meat one, the lamb or the mutton one, which one you can find and the hawker centre or just by the side of the road. Trust me, you'll love it.

Everything looked delicious, especially the satay...the Singaporean omelette is so different from an omelette from the US...we keep our eggs in one whole big piece (like a huge crepe), and fill it with whatever type filling we choose and then fold it over...like a half moon shape. Would love to try the oyster omelette. Looks so good! 😊❤
