Don't do the roll in old school SF2. If you get caught in the middle of the move, you take 3x damage. There are a couple of other moves that have the same flaw.

10:50 Sagat's uppercut for example - if you catch him in the middle of the move, you do 3x damage to him. Check it out. I think the same is true for Bison's torpedo charge.

The damage settings were increased that's the only reason i can think of why the hits were taking so much power. The guy was trying to use blanka's combo to get stun and do it again to almost kill.

That stage was replaced in the home ports by the bonus stage where you instead destroy a brick wall.

Kind of disappointed that Capcom didn't reinstate this Hard Punch for X-Ism Blanka in SFA3 0:14.

Blanka going for the reach in then the reach around on Zangief in the thumbnail.

Blankas specials in this game had some of the lowest priority of all characters. Nice to see this player using combos and dizzies to circumvent the handicap 👍🏽

SFT came out in late 1992, while this game, World Warrior, was the first SFII to come out in early 1991. THIS game was the first SFII version ever released.

This game is NOTORIOUS for punishing certain moves, and the blanka roll is the biggest one. It's just not worth it to execute that move. Sagat's tiger uppercut is another one, and that is almost as bad.

Busque en todos los comentarios, sólo uno puso algo de guile... ése es el único personaje de todo el juego con el q se podía trabar a guile ( quedaba duro) trabar al oponente (también quedaba duro y tu oponente no podía moverlo, voktearlo del aire ( guile agarraba la nada pero el oponente caía y le sacaba energía) y apagar la máquina como si la desenchufaran y la volvieran a enchufar ,yo lo aprendí en argentina en un local q se llamaba dinos los q sabían todos esos trucos eran pibes coreanos (argentinos hijos de coreanos) el año pasado encontré una máquina en Santa Teresita ( Costa argentina) y jugué co el y lo volví a trabar 🥺 tantos años pasaron tendría 20 cuando jugaba hoy 48 ,saludos a todos los q jugaron street fighters 2
