I loved and worshipped the PS1 version back in the day. This version, with extra characters, is bloody brilliant.

The Capcom vs SNK 2 sprites look great. Capcom did create all new art for the SFA3 MAX PSP version that looked horribly like a King of Fighters pixel art character who stuck out like a sore thumb... she was called Ingrid@@rgonzales1082

His sprite looks so off. It's like they re-used assets from another game and pasted it here.

Wouldn't be surprised that they took his CVS2 Sprites and used them in this game similar to Maki, Eagle and Ingrid, cheaper than drawing up new sprites.

@@rgonzales1082 Worst, he is recycled from SF3. That's why I never liked Alpha 3, it's basically a Mugen.

Dee Jay's, Fei Long's, and even Guile's sprites look slightly inconsistent too, and then there are Juni and Juli sprites that look like mugen ugly recolors... but hey, at least they nailed the original style with the character portraits

Yun and Yang from Street Fighter 3.

Yun is a guest apperance fighter from Street fighter III series in this game.

Wait doesn't street fighter alpha 3 take place way before street fighter 3 like what's Yun doing here, Ryu and ken are like younger at this point and people complain about Sakura's age so what's yuns excuse

I do know Ingrid's excuse is that she has the original version of Psycho Power which Bison stole to power the Psycho Drive. Apparently the mistranslation happened and she got hated for it... but her haters hated her mostly for other stupid reasons.

Ingrid a guess character from her cancelled game but she been taken as a Street Fighter character more for years now.

It would be that much more interesting if they would've remembered to put Yun's twin brother in the game Yang. Plus his moves are a little different from his older twin brother Yun but both have some similar moves. Yeah kinda messed up Yang isn't in this. Now all the other street fighter games they'd both be in it and this the only street fighter they only one of the twins is in it and not both.

It's really not that messed up since Yun was always the main brother of the two (remember Yang debuted as an alternate Yun) and he was one of four characters who were reused from another Capcom game. Plus even if one were to try and defend Yang being included in this, it wouldn't make any sense since chronologically, both brothers would've been too young to be part of Alpha 3. Heck, even their SF4 appearances are questionable.
