Again this is not his 1st major tournament. He competed in sf4 and finished top 16. More impressive than this run. However i think vome next year since he mained sf6 he'll be a different beast all together

Sonic did some big brain shit in that second to last game. Good showing I feel, especially against the guy who dominated the tournament. Angrybird just too good that weekend.

One can play in as many as they want, Sonic has done that in the past as winning side tourneys (MK9, SG) or major ones and winning/getting top 8s (Injustice 2, DBFZ). What happened this time is that he thought he could actually win the whole thing and wanted to focus on SF6, so he DQ'd himself from all other tourneys he was in. He could've won or get top 8s in those...but picked SF, a series where he has never gotten a single top 8. @simonwalters6872

​@DE4DZONE J Wong literally only plays for fun these days cause obligation and family so him not doing as well makes sense as it would with Daigo who wasn't too far behind SF all things considered. Also unless they bracketed together and he fought them the placements don't matter as much if we add factors like ease of bracket and how many killers were in it. Daigo and JWong could have ran into one of the top 6 contenders like Nemard and punk way earlier than Sonicfox did. This isn't to say him getting that far isn't impressive. As I said shit was dense with killers. But placements past the point where everyone is actually fighting each other and not doing pool placements matters way less when they all got drowned before they could be fit into the same bracket

Against actual pros Sonic is a baby noob. There is a reason he wins the smaller games against semi casuals. And people consider him a goat lmao.
