I dont think people realize how much more skill Zangief takes to play. He is a very difficult character to play at high levels. I am just glad they made Zangief decent in SF 6. It was sad to see Snake Eyez playing Evil Ryu in SF 5.

It’s insane the difference in skill between low levels and high levels. At low levels zangeif seems broken because of his sheer damage output, at high levels it takes insane skill to even land his high damage.

Opposite actually, Zangief is a scrub character, no skill to confirm command grabs half life is gone. That's it.

Imagine Zangief getting his green hand back, that would be too good to be true. It would make him a real contender again. Wait, was he ever a real tourn contender?

It's not a combo, he just baited the other player into thinking the 3rd chop would happen and not the ex spd. I believe the term is "tick throws" where you play mind games with your opponent to not have them expect a throw and throw them or have them expect a throw and punish them for expecting it.

I’ve been maining Zangief since I got the game and he’s easy for me to play with and still get a lot of wins. It makes me feel good at the game hearing about how much skill it takes to play him

The concept is that you try to punish it but you react too late, so your button gets clipped by the invincible move.
