Old vs New is a "classic" type of videos now... that can be really appreciated in this case of, first of all, a game genre that is still carried by literally the same franchises of 30 years ago, and that are formed by the same veteran roster, and that still use more or less the same moves.

Now i just wondered which game started the "flame-like effect that makes a japanese symbol" during his hadouken super. I forgot if it was SFA2 (96), SF3 2I (97), or even XvSF or MvSF in the Marvel franchise. That was a cool detail that went really far.

Akuma's moveset, that was already rich since the 90s, has been expanding even further currently and now it reaches the field of crossover, with the modern KKZ being a reference to Terry Bogard. (Actually since his SF5 super) Maybe Akuma was really inspired by Terry, after so many Capcom x SNK crossovers in the past... Also he seems to be the type who would analyze and appreciate anything good he sees and assimilate it, if he finds it good enough, without issues of pride.

Even base Akuma could perform the kongou kokuretsuzan but to avoid him from becoming op, they put it only in his shin Akuma form in sf6
