Akuma is Ryu’s father and goken is ryus uncle. Akuma killed himself mentally by accepting and embracing the satsui no hado, how did Ryu get the satsui no hado obviously with genes. Where as ken only learnt the shoryuken hado.

No, Akuma & Goken are Brothers. The Satsu no hado saughted out Ryu's strength & took him by surprised bcuz he was already strong as a normal fighter, so he got possessed by this power, and it made him even a more stronger fighter.

Funny thing is out of all the years I’ve watch street fighter the animated movie I didn’t notice Akuma was sitting there while E. Honda fought Dalhsim😂 I noticed 20 plus years later smh.

Additionally, Akuma has poor health compared to other fighters when you play him in most Street Fighter games. Make sure you're aware of his health bar if you wish to play him. High risk, High Reward ^^

ya mostly to balance out the character. why u cant turtle when u play gouki. its all about offensive. his moveset makes for quite epic set ups and combos. even for casuals...

He doesn't have poor health,the biggest thing always said about Akuma is he has bad defense,you seen in many games past and present on that...but you are young so I know you didn't know that,this has been seen all the since streetfighter alpha and capcom vs snc series and many other games outside of street fighter

Because He Is Balanced In Strength & Speed Unlike Ryu Who Is Stronger But Slower & Ken Who Is Faster But Weaker

Even with all the cons, akumas is my fav. All about setting up combos and timing.

Akuma is one of the best all around players period and if you can master him you'll be unstoppable 😮😮

I always felt like Ryu was Akuma's and Sayaka's son and when Gouken is out training and Akuma comes back and kills goutetsu that he impregnates Sayaka and then goes MIA again. After Gouken returns home he takes care of Sayaka and Its never mentioned what happens to Ryu's mother but I figured she died in childbirth due to complications or possibly while he was still young. Always made sense to me that is where ryu's strong connection to the dark hado came from how he was conceived.

was the part about "who is the best, ken akuma or ryu" was made with chatgpt? the descriptions are fairly familiar and really inaccurate. Yes their moves have been in the game for a long time, but that's not a con, i think this whole session is wrong. Ryu is supposed to be a basic shoto, he is designed in a way that the player get to understand how to play the game, usually he has a projectile to control space, an antiair and a traveling attack, these 3 attack have different proprieties among these 3. With Ryu having fast projectiles, less horizontal travel on shoryuken, and his tatsu knocksdown when it hits, but allows him to choose the strength of it to either wall carry, or side switching if he pleases. Ken as a shoto is similar to ryu, but he is designed to play more aggressive and flashy, for such he usually has target combos, long reaching normals, a shoryuken with much horizontal travel, and a tatsu that hits multiple times, as a downside his hadouken it's slower at firing compared to Ryu. Akuma is the best of both worlds, he has indeed stronger and powerful moves, he space control of ryu and the aggressivenes of ken, but usually low health to balance his powerful moves.

CANNONICALY , At the STREET FIGHTER 1 game , a still teen Ryu haved the same hair colour than AKUMA...then probably his hair turned darker like her mother's colour... so some day AKUMA will say to RYU... "JOIN ME TO THE SATSUI NO HADO" "I AM YOUR FATHER"

Definitely my favorite character of all time..

if its not confirmed then akuma did kill em. if akuma is ryu's father that mean's akuma will never actually kill ryu, just tease him and unlock his powers further

Guys dont forget this theory is based on ryu's chaned story line about a time traveling based on roses story.

There is something you never mention about Akuma when you make these kind of videos, and it's the fact that it's implied, when finishing Elena's story mode, that she and Akuma become friends? I mean, in the ending cut scene you can see her hugging him and akuma seems to almost smile. Kinda cute for such a terrifying warrior.

only terrorfying for those who are evil and challenge him. other then that akuma is pretty mellow. official artwork in alpha era has him selling fruits to a kid. probably got inspiration from the sf2 anime scene with him chillin by the wall watching the fight in india. but ya thats showin a rare glimpse of his daily life away from training. even tho i find it weird since gouki trancended humans... and probably has hax where he dont really need to eat food or money things like that. the man can remain in deep ocean waters for long periods of time. then defy gravity and zoom up to destroy a submarine with his mere power of his kick. split mountains in half and destroy islands. his body is OP. lol. the bond with elena is cute. i can see that...hard not to be happy when she is around. elena has that kinda vibe. 😯😁

Ryu son of Akuma? As of now not canon, it’s a no. Akuma wasn’t born with gene like powers like fellow crossover Kazuya and Jin in Tekken. Akuma was just like Gouken but wanted to seek more power thus him learning and studying the Dark Hadou . In the animated film Street Fighter alpha , it’s seen that Akuma only appeared out of nowhere because Ryu reaches a high point of power where he is tempted by the Satsui No Hado then also encourages Ryu to succumb to the powers, just as he did just so he can fight someone as strong as him because like fellow student Ken, he was a lesser student (Ken still awesome af) with Ryu at his highest pinnacle point of strength, technique and wanting to learn more… Just like Akuma eh? Some say Ryu is the son of Akuma but I think most would agree he is just the illegitimate son, as they both treaded nearly the same path.

I always found it odd that Ryu as a character has always looked more American than he does Japanese even though he is indeed Japanese. I usually only remember he’s Japanese when they add him to a skit or movie and has an Asian guy play his character. It always seems as though Japanese characters always have these big bulging eyes anyway

I've noticed that honestly Ken looks more caucasian than japanese, his skin always being lighter tone than Ryu's. I honestly find it a bit surprising, since Ken is more japanese than american (1/4 american).

I think it would be cool if Ryu path is to kill Akuma to save Ken and gives in to the dark to win. That fight can include the shotos and even Bison fighting together. He then becomes a hidden character who sways between light and dark. A dark hidden super character who does not want to be with people because he is afraid. Then Ken takes Sakura (who is actually impressive given she just runs of talent to do the moves) and trains her. That can be the new generation. That big battle where Akuma dies will include Akuma destroying or injuring many characters.
