We drive to the North of the Island near the airport in an area called Mai Khao to visit the Soi Dog Foundation. Founded in 2003, they currently house approximately 1,450 dogs and 450 cats. They have a Thailand wide sterilisation program as well as International Advocacy teams. Free tours twice a day, Monday to Friday. Well worth a visit to hear about the work this foundation does, and to visit and engage with the beautiful soulful street (soi) dogs & cats of Phuket.
