It's called "side loading". Mix a line of one color beside another on your pallette and blend them on one edge of the brush. Looks great!

Probably from a lot of artists who put a lot of effort into their art, and then they come and see this lady with her fancy brush techniques that do everything for her in one stroke, and maybe they get a little butthurt. Just saying. Anyway, I have to agree, it is beautiful art, but I'm not sure I approve of the way it was made... Great technique, though. It probably takes a lot of skill to keep your hand that steady.

There's no accounting for intellect. Or in this case, the complete lack of it. I agree with your sentiment of her art being beautiful. The morons who disliked this are probably fondling their velvet painting of dogs playing poker and claiming it to be the only real art...

Actually, as far as I know, in Russia so called "one stroke" painting style was used long time before Donna brought it into public. It is called Tagil painting style, and there are other styles that are similar to it. :)
