As long as it's files that aren't copyright, licenses or free abuse, it's legal in every country. If it's music, movies, porn which is legal licenses and VIP then it's forbidden. There are so many legal ways to torrent to download files without a VPN! There are numerous project games, copyright free music or copyright free short movies or other.

yes you can but don't try, as sometimes vpn disconnects and the torent will start downloading normally upon which you might get fine.

@@waqaralamgircs thats why good vpn providers like Nord VPN have all those safety options in case of disconnection, your internet disconnects as well, plus other stuff. In countries like Germany no need to waste time on free vpn providers or some cheap ones, need to use the top best ones and set it right.

How about downloading movie thru HiTV app? Will you get fine?

They can, but it‘s unlikely. The best option is to stay legal with Amazon Prime and Netflix, may be more expensive but still cheaper than a fine/complaint letter.
